Instruments for diagnostic and treatment purposes from the la Tène period in Central Europe

Sources of knowledge of treatment practices in the La Tène period in Central Europe are limited. Archaeologists very often classify findings on the basis of their personal opinions which are not substantiated by evidence. The theories that have been proposed so far are not widely accepted by the academics. Artefacts that are expected to be used for diagnostics and treatment are not usually chosen to deduce the form and processes of therapeutic practice in the La Tène period. The main issue of the topic is the possibility to distinguish between tools for therapeutic procedures and artefacts created for other purposes. However, there is also the question of whether it is possible to distinguish between tools originating from Central Europe and tools originating in the Roman or Greek environment, artefacts which originated in the studied period from medieval or modern objects, and the real artefacts, for which there are no suitable analogies, from counterfeits created in the 18th‒19th centuries. For this purpose, specific debatable sets of artefacts are used. The goal of the research is to clarify the real purpose of the examined artefacts, for which it was previously proposed that they were used for therapy or diagnostics in the La Tène period. The results of the review and analysis of the artefacts have their explanatory ability about the state of practice in the studied geographical area.

Ustanowiono w nich różne instrumenty, których zadaniem jest umożliwienie uczestnictwa na rynku pracy osób defaworyzowanych za względu na wiek.

This study identifies the most important legal solutions for supporting the employment of people aged 50 years and older. They are located primarily in labor law and statutory regulations regarding the labor market. They set up different instruments whose purpose is to enable participation in the labor market people disadvantaged based on age.

Podstawowym celem artykułu jest prezentacja wybranych instrumentów finansowych, jakimi dysponuje władza centralna oraz jednostki samorządu terytorialnego w zaspokajaniu potrzeb mieszkaniowych obywateli. Autor swoje rozważania, ze względu na objętość artykułu, skoncentrował wyłącznie na wybranych instrumentach finansowych, mając jednocześnie świadomość, że ta grupa instrumentów polityki mieszkaniowej nie wyczerpuje całości zagadnienia, jednak jej znaczenie jest pierwszorzędne, bo wiąże się z ustawowymi zadaniami spoczywającymi na władzy centralnej i samorządowej.

The main aim of this article is to present selected financial instruments at the disposal of the central government and local government in meeting the housing needs of citizens. Author his reflections, due to the volume of the article focused exclusively on financial instruments but we are aware that this group of instruments of housing policy does not cover the whole problem, however, its importance is paramount, because it is associated with the statutory duties incumbent on the central government and local government.

This article aims to explore the musical themes prevalent in the traditional culture of the Hutsul region, and how they have influenced Polish art during the 19th and 20th centuries. The study involves an examination of selected works of art, with a focus on the characteristic instrumentation representative of the discussed region, including the violin, pipes, cimbalom, trombita, horn, and hurdy-gurdy. These instruments have been classified and described in terms of their construction and function. The analysis of works of art in the main body of the article focuses on topics related to the music practiced and created by the Hutsuls. Iconographic motifs have been taken into account and classified into nine groups. The artistic achievements of artists who were active at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries have been discussed in order to assess the influence of ethnomusicological threads in art depicting the Hutsul region and its inhabitants, particularly in painting inspired by folk culture. Through this exploration, the article seeks to shed light on the impact of Hutsul music on Polish art, and to demonstrate how ethnomusicological themes can be integrated into artistic expression.

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie wątków muzycznych, które są obecne w tradycyjnej kulturze Huculszczyzny, oraz ich wpływu na sztukę polską w XIX i XX wieku. W ramach opracowania omówiono wybrane dzieła sztuki, skupiając się na charakterystycznym instrumentarium reprezentatywnym dla omawianego regionu. Skrzypce, fujarki, cymbały, trembita, róg oraz lira korbowa zostały sklasyfikowane i opisane pod względem budowy oraz funkcji. Główny element pracy stanowi analiza dzieł sztuki, które poruszają tematy związane z muzyką uprawianą i tworzoną przez Hucułów. Uwzględniono motywy ikonograficzne, które zostały podzielone na dziewięć grup. Omówiony dorobek artystyczny twórców działających na przełomie XIX i XX wieku pozwala ocenić, w jaki sposób obecność wątków etnomuzykologicznych w sztuce przedstawiającej Huculszczyznę i jej mieszkańców wpłynęła na malarstwo inspirowane ludowością.
