An interpretation of the Czech word “bezvýznamnost” (literally: without meaning) and the Czech neologism “bezesmyslnost” (literally: without sense). In Czech language words using the prefix “bez” (without) are not synonymous with derivatives made by using the prefix “ne” (not). This corresponds with the Aristotelian term “steresis” for weaker properties of negativity and negation. In this way, the concepts of “meaning” and “sense” enter into a logical relationship with Peirce’s arrow.
