W latach 2013 i 2014 trwały prace konserwatorskie przy rękopisach i starych drukach karaimskich prowadzone przez prof. dr hab. Elżbietę Jabłońską, i dr Małgorzatę Pronobis–Gajdzis. Oba projekty zostały zrealizowane przez Związek Karaimów Polskich z dotacji celowej Ministerstwa Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego. Kwalifikacja obiektów do konserwacji i restauracji odbyła się na podstawie oceny stanu zachowania całej kolekcji starych druków i rękopisów znajdujących się w prywatnych zbiorach, przygotowanej przez mgr Magdalenę Dalke. Wytypowane do konserwacji książki były w bardzo złym stanie zachowania, przede wszystkim były bardzo brudne, niektóre posiadały duże zniszczenia mechaniczne. Stan zachowania kodeksów stanowił przesłankę do podjęcia natychmiastowej interwencji konserwatorskiej. W 2013 r. wykonane konserwację–restaurację pięciu obiektów, a w 2014 r. kolejnych dziewięciu. Podstawowym celem przeprowadzanych zabiegów było powstrzymanie zachodzących w obiektach procesów destrukcji materiałów, zabezpieczenie ich przed dalszym, postępującym niszczeniem. Zrealizowanie zadania wpłynęło na znaczne polepszenie stanu fizycznego materii i ogromnie podniosło ich walor estetyczny i ekspozycyjny. Przywrócenie książkom funkcji użytkowej łączyło się z dużą ingerencją w konstrukcję obiektów i jej elementy. Poprawę funkcji estetycznej osiągnięto bez zbędnych zabiegów stricte „estetyzujących”. Wszystkie obiekty zostały ponadto zdigitalizowane, co pozwoli korzystać z nich do celów badawczych przy ograniczeniu do minimum fizycznego kontaktu z obiektami.

In 2013 and 2014 Professor Elżbieta Jabłońska and Małgorzata Pronobis-Gajdzis, Ph.D. carried out conservation work on Karaim manuscripts and old prints. Both projects were organised by the Polish Karaims Association and financed by the Polish Ministry of Culture and Cultural Heritage. Objects were chosen for conservation and restoration treatment based on an assessment of the condition of the whole collection of old prints and manuscripts from private collections, prepared by Magdalena Dalke, M.A. Books earmarked for conservation were in very poor condition. Above all else, they were very dirty. Some of them had suffered considerable mechanical damage. The condition of the codices required immediate conservation treatment. In 2013 five items underwent conservation and restoration work and nine others in 2014. The main purpose of the treatment was to combat destructive processes damaging the materials and to secure them against further deterioration. Such intervention significantly improved the condition of the books and prints as well as their aesthetics and value as exhibits. Restoring the functional value of these books required extensive intervention in their structure and constituent parts. Their aesthetics were improved without resorting to what might be termed essential “aestheticizing” methods. All the books and prints have been digitalized. This will ensure that researchers can access them for academic purposes while at the same time limiting physical contact with such artefacts to a minimum.

In 2016 the author carried out conservation work on three Karaim manuscripts and old prints: a 19th century mejuma of Crimea, an 18th/19th century manuscript from Lithuania and a printed prayer book published in 1736/1737 in Gozleve and containing handwritten sections drafted in Halicz and dating from the 19th century. The project was organised by the Polish Karaim Association and financed by the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The texts earmarked for conservation were in very poor condition. The main purpose of the treatment was to combat harmful processes damaging the materials and to secure them against further deterioration. Extensive intervention was required to restore their structure and constituent parts to functional value.
