The article attempts to present the impact of the co-existence of the Slavic and Germanic world on the formation of Slavic loanwords in German. The study focuses chiefly on the Russian loanwords in German. It presents and describes the cultural, historical, political, and economic reasons for the transfer of lexical elements of Russian origin to German. The aforementioned factors include: the impact of the Hanseatic trade, political alliances, and conflicts. The work refers to loanwords of Russian origin that have entered German throughout the ages. The article provides examples of words that describe typically Russian phenomena (e.g. Tundra), whose counterparts had not existed in German before.

Das Ziel des vorliegenden Beitrags ist die Darstellung des für die gegenwärtige deutsche Sprache charakteristischen Phänomens der Hybridbildungen am Beispiel der Analyse der Modesprache. Aus der linguistischen Perspektive ist die Erscheinung der Verbindung der indigenen und exogenen Sprachelemente interessant, da sich derzeit viele Sprachnutzer immer häufiger solcher Kombinationen bedienen. Einleitend werden die Begriffe Entlehnung, Fremdwort und Lehnwort erläutert. Darauffolgend wird auf die Explikation des Terminus Hybridbildung eingegangen wie auch die Frage der Sprache der Mode entfaltet. Die auf die theoretische Untermauerung gestützte korpusbasierte Untersuchung wurde anhand von drei Kriterien durchgeführt: morphologisch, fremdlingual und semantisch. Überdies wurden orthographische Aspekte der hybriden Bildungen und die Anzahl von in ihnen erscheinenden Komponenten ausgewertet.

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie charakterystycznego dla współczesnego języka niemieckiego fenomenu hybryd słowotwórczych na przykładzie języka mody. Z perspektywy lingwistycznej zjawisko łączenia rodzimych i nienatywnych elementów językowych jest interesujące, ponieważ obecnie wielu użytkowników języka posługuje się coraz częściej i chętniej takimi kombinacjami. Wstępnie wyjaśniono pojęcia zapożyczenia oraz zintegrowanych i niezintegrowanych wyrazów obcych. W następnej kolejności zgłębiono termin hybrydy słowotwórczej, jak również rozwinięto kwestię języka mody. Oparte na teoretycznych podwalinach badanie korpusowe przeprowadzono na podstawie trzech kryteriów: morfologicznego, obcolingwalnego i semantycznego. Ponadto przeanalizowano aspekty ortograficzne mieszanych tworów językowych oraz liczbę pojawiających się w nich komponentów.

The aim of this article is to present the phenomenon of word-formation hybrids characteristic of the contemporary German language as visible in the language of fashion. From the linguistic perspective, the phenomenon of combining native and non-native language elements is interesting, as nowadays many language users tend to employ such combinations more and more often. Firstly, the concepts of borrowing and integrated and non-integrated foreign words were clarified. Further on, the focus was placed on the term word-formation hybrid, as well as the issue of the language of fashion. Based on the theoretical foundations, the corpus study was conducted in accordance with three criteria: morphological, foreignlingual and semantic. Moreover, the spelling aspects of word forming hybrids and the number of components comprising them were analysed.
