The article deals with the activity of the Office for Religious Affairs in relation to the minority Mariavite Church. The author defines the scope of contacts between the communist office for religion and the Mariavite Church, on the basis of which he discusses the image of Mariavites emerging from the documentation produced by the Office, kept in the State Archives in Siedlce.
