The contemporary development of medicine has brought a number of previously unknown ethical dilemmas. Ethical committees are one of the places to solve them. The aim of this paper is to analyze their tasks posed by the teaching of the Church contained in the New Charter for Healthcare Workers issued by the Pontifical Council for Health Care Workers in 2016. The activities of commission for the clinical research, the commission for therapeutic experiments and the commission for clinical ethicsare presented.

Współczesny rozwój medycyny przyniósł szereg nieznanych wcześniej dylematów etycznych. Jednym z miejsc ich rozwiązywania są komisje etyczne. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przeanalizowanie zadań, jakie stawia przed nimi nauczanie Kościoła zawarte w Nowej Karcie Pracowników Służby Zdrowia wydanej przez Papieską Radę ds. Duszpasterstwa Służby Zdrowia w 2016 r. Przedstawiona została działalność komisji do spraw badań klinicznych, komisji do spraw eksperymentów terapeutycznych oraz komisji do spraw etyki klinicznej.
