The objective of the article is presenting an image of Germany and Soviet Union in the years 1922–1932 as presented in weekly magazine “Podlasiak”. Article is to also show how precious writing and our national heritage regional press is and how important it is to protect it to highest extent possible as well as the fact that inter–war period press in Poland was, despite dynamic development of radiophony at said time, main source of information about national and worldwide situation.

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie obrazu Niemiec i Związku Sowieckiego w latach 1922–1932, jaki prezentowany był na łamach tygodnika „Podlasiak”. Artykuł ma zaprezentować również, jak cennym piśmiennictwem, naszym dziedzictwem narodowym jest prasa regionalna i jak ważnym aspektem jest jej ochrona w jak największym stopniu  oraz to, że prasa w  Polsce okresu międzywojennego stanowiła, mimo dynamicznego w tamtych czasach rozwoju radiofonii, główne źródło informacji o sytuacji w kraju i na świecie.
