Uzyskanie 1 maja 2004 r. przez Polskę oraz przez 9 innych krajów statusu członka Unii Europejskiej (UE) miało konsekwencje dla polskiego handlu usługami. Celem artykułu jest po pierwsze przeprowadzenie analizy, czy i w jakim stopniu nastąpiła intensyfikacja eksportu i importu Polski na unijny rynek usług. Po drugie, dokonanie identyfikacji skutków wynikających z akcesji Polski do UE w konkurencyjności usługodawców polskich, mierzonej za pomocą indeksu specjalizacji eksportowej. Po trzecie, zbadanie skali występowania między Polską i pozostałymi członkami ugrupowania wymiany o charakterze wewnątrzgałęziowym. Pozwoliło to stwierdzić, na ile różnice w technologii i w wyposażeniu w czynniki wytwórcze między Polską a Unią determinują charakter wzajemnych obrotów usługowych. (fragment tekstu)

Obtaining (on the 1st May, 2004) by Poland and nine other countries, the status of a member of the European Union and the subsequent expansion of the group in 2007 resulted in changes in the Polish trade in services. The purpose of this article is to analyze whether and to what extent there has been intensification of Polish exports and imports to the EU services market? The identification of the effects of our country's accession to the EU in the competitiveness of Polish service providers, measured of the export specialization index. In addition, the Author examined the scale of incidence between the Polish and other EU Members of the internal branch exchange. On this basis it was stated, how the differences in technology and equipment in the production factors between the Polish and the EU determined the mutual trade in services. This study uses information of the OECD. The service sector was divided into groups according to the Extended Balance of Payments Services classification (EBOPS 2002). (original abstract)

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie istniejących klasyfikacji statystycznych i aktualnego stanu ich harmonizacji. Szczegółowo przedstawiono działania zmierzające do zharmonizowania klasyfikacji statystycznych funkcjonujących w ONZ (ISIC/CPC), Unii (NACE/CPA) i krajach Ameryki Północnej (NACIS) nazwane "Operacją-2007" ("Rewizją-2007").

The article describes a present state of harmonisation of statistical classifications in the world and a general outline of chanhes which are presently introduced, named "Operation-2007" or "Revision-2007". This publication conatins basic information about changes in classifications of activities and products in the European Union, The United Nations and countries of North America. The study specifies the genesis and the aim of carrying on activities mentioned above. It also characterises the institutions doing preparations and implementation of statistical classifications as part of "Operation-2007"/"Revision-2007"

Przedstawiono strukturę budżetu Unii Europejskiej. Omówiono przewidywany udział Polski w dochodach i wydatkach budżetu UE. Zwrócono uwagę na zagrożenia dla płynności polskiego budżetu, wysokość składki członkowskiej, wysokość wsparcia finansowego polskiego rolnictwa w ramach Wspólnej Polityki Rolnej oraz wysokość przyznanych Polsce zaliczek na działania strukturalne.

This article concerns the financial conditions of Polish membership in the European Union settled during accession negotiations that were finalised on the summit in Copen hagen in December 2002. In order to present this problem the analysis of economic and financial situation of the EU countries could be used. This situation essentially influences on volume of incomes and expenditures of common budget and explains reasons for which the European Union wanted to keep the enlargement costs on lower possible level. The article also describes settlements concerning the financial transfers between the budget of the European Union and budget of Poland connected with obligatory membership contribution and share of Poland in the Common Agricultural Policy and structural activities. The article mentions about threats for liquidity of Polish budget in the first period of membership. (original abstract)
