In this article I present the results of an empirical-qualitative study whereby I asked 85 eleventh-grade students what ideas and images come to their minds when they hear the word “redemption”. I wanted to find out what specifically they associate with the concept of salvation. Using the French movie Chocolat as the primary medium employed in the study, it was noted that when asked about “redemption”, students indicated that they understand this to be a dynamic and relational concept. From the answers which were given, five models of redemption can be constructed. The dialectic model of “redemption from and to” is, I believe, connected to the Reformation’s soteriological approach to adolescent theology. The study also demonstrated that the students’ views concerning religion, although expressed in everyday speech, were nevertheless able to be theologically interpreted to a great extent.

A dialogue of salvation the Church has today aims not only at interpersonal contacts to know each other, people’s wishes and views. It is something more, because it bears the features of the unity and dialogue within the Holy Trinity. For those who believe, Jesus is the image of such a dialogue. His person much af ects the quality of dif erent dialogues the world is having nowadays. Today Christianity and the person of Jesus Christ are pushed on to the sidelines and belittled, and even fought. The Year of the Faith in the Church is a good opportunity for rel ecting on its nature and message. It is an opportunity to grasp the saving dialogue God has with his people. The leading theme set by Benedict XVI for this year is a challenge for all the members of the Mystical Body of Christ. Hence it is necessary to have a saving dialogue with the contemporary world through a priestly reception of the sources of faith and one’s personal testimony of faith.

Vatican Council II is one of the most special moments of pneumatological experience in the twentieth century. This article is showing some of the pneumatological aspects especially those contained in the Dogmatic Constitution Dei Verbum, one of the most common documents of Vatican Council II. Revelation is God's great gift to man but at the same time also an invitation. A man in his freedom is invited to respond to the voice, but without the help of God’s intervention, he is not able to do that. Hence, by God's initiative, we find different ways by which God gives us the means to enter into this "dialogue of salvation". This article present the route to God’s dialogue and how the Holy Spirit in our time passes on the gift of redemption. Primarily has been made the analysis of Dei Verbum pneumatological aspects to understand better the Holy Spirit’s place in the transmission of the revelation of God in the Church. To emphasize this update the topic is worth quoting the words of Paul VI, whose beatification we expect . He emphasized that one of the most important messages of Vatican II was to recognize that the Church lives by the grace, presence and the action of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Christ, received by the growing Church on the day of Pentecost. The last Council focused around ecclesiological pneumatology. This article underlines pneumatological and fundamental truths concerning God's revelation and His message .This work will aim to see how the Fathers of the Vatican Council spoke of the Holy Spirit in his role in passing on the gift of salvation.

This paper tries to present the situation in the church from 1789 to 1962. This historical survey shows the reasons why the council needed to be called. Then there is a brief presentation of some of the main contributions of the council, document after document, including some of the buried treasures and points which are still being fought over. It is not exhaustive. It mentions where further work needs to be done.

(Title in Polish - 'Czlowiek u wrót nieba - rola Matki Bozej w zbawieniu. Studium oparte na piesniach i dokumentach z wielkopolskich sanktuariów maryjnych'). Texts of religious songs have not been analysed ethnologically yet. Despite a great number of them, in folklore and ethnographic literature they are not treated as documents, which allow to reconstruct the world of ideas about the 'heavenly court'. This articles attempts to analyse the perception of the Most Blessed Mother of God in the act of salvation. This study was made on the basis of religious songs, entries into memory books and inscriptions on votive offerings found in St. Mary's sanctuaries in Wielkopolska. The texts analysed by the authoress show Virgin Mary performing different functions - she saves, defends, protects, and reigns. Sometimes she acts together with Jesus, but most often she acts on her own. Excerpts from the songs reflect the 'heavenly hierarchy' in which the Mother of God takes the first place. Virgin Mary in the songs is not a submissive woman who, in obedience to God, raises God's Son but she is a resolute, strong, and merciful person, full of empathy for the human being. The analysis of the songs helps us to discover representations characteristic of folk religiosity and trace its transformations over time.
