The paper deals with work performance as a complex of different areas and views. The goal of the presented paper is to evaluate the dependences between various work performance aspects and various types of companies. It is based on an empirical research, which was realized with help of a written questionnaire, and statistical evaluation of gained data. The results should show to which extend the type of company influences approach to work performance and the correlations between individual aspects of performance.

The purpose of this study is to estimate the future duration of a loan contract on the basis of several factors. The main methodology consists of a brief explanation of a survival analysis and a thorough application of a survival analysis in loan management. A real dataset from a credit institution (situated in Varna) is used. All contracts were signed for 30 days but some contracts were ended earlier, others - later. The main research question concerns the following statement. We may try to predict future loan duration by making an econometric model describing the dependency between the loan duration (as a dependent variable) and several independent variables. The dataset is analysed by calculating life tables, applying the Kaplan-Maier method and using Cox regression within SPSS. It is has been proved that the main covariates affecting loan duration are the variables: born in the region, month of birth and age. The formulated conclusions are valid for the analysed credit institution. This work provides a methodology for adapting duration models in credit institutions. The presented methodology (in this paper) may be applied over the dataset of other credit institutions (including banks) for loan duration prediction.

Background and Purpose - IBM SPSS Statistics is among the most widely used programs for statistical analysis in social sciences. Due to many practical values it is frequently used as a tool for teaching statistical concepts in many social science university programs. In our opinion, motivation to learn and to use SPSS during the studying process plays a significant role in building a positive attitude towards SPSS which influences its usage at the professional level after finishing study. Design/Methodology/Approach - The aim of this paper is the development of the model for analysing the acceptance of the SPSS among university students of social sciences. The model is based on the widely known Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). In addition to the traditional components of the TAM, six external variables were included. The model is tested using the web survey on the university students of social sciences from seven faculties at three Slovenian universities. Results - The evaluation of the questionnaire was performed. Descriptive statistics were calculated. The dependencies among the model components were studied and the significant dependencies were pointed out. Conclusion - The results of the empirical study prove that all external variables considered in the model are relevant, and directly influence both key components of the traditional TAM, ≫Perceived Usefulness≪ and ≫Perceived Ease of Use≪. Therefore, our model is useful to study the adoption and continuous utilization of SPSS among the students of social sciences. The obtained results are useful for educators, and can help them to improve the learning process.
