Keywords as Cultural Mediators. Semantic and Function of Culture-Specific Lexemes of Swiss German Cultural keywords should be perceived as content-rich concepts. They consist namely of a significant surplus which applies to the given culture. They reflect the identity and the mentality of people very well. Therefore, cultural keywords can be referred to as cultural mediators. This view is illustrated in the article on the example of the selected culture-specific lexemes of Swiss German.

Schlüsselbegriffe einer Kultur sind inhaltsreiche Begriffe. Sie verfügen über einen kulturspezifischen Bedeutungsüberschuss, welcher auf die aussersprachliche Wirklichkeit – auf die Erfahrungs- und Erscheinungsbestände einer Kultur Bezug nimmt. Daher können diese sprachlichen Einheiten als Kulturvermittler betrachtet werden. Diese Auffassung wird in dem Artikel am Bespiel der ausgewählten kulturspezifischen Lexemen des Schweizerdeutschen veranschaulicht.
