W autonomicznym Sejmie Śląskim pierwszej kadencji w latach 1922‒1929 zasiadało dwóch polskich duchownych katolickich. Byli to ks. Eugeniusz Brzuska i ks. Karol Mathea. W swej działalności politycznej opierali się oni o statut organiczny określający ustrój województwa śląskiego. Odegrali ważną rolę w pracach legislacyjnych, a także jako działacze polityczni, społeczni i duszpasterze.

Two Polish Catholic priests were members of the autonomous Silesian Parliament (Sejm). They were: Fr Eugeniusz Brzuska Eugene and Fr Karol Mathea. Their political activities were based on the organic statute in which the political system of Silesia was dened. They played an important role in the legislative as well as political and social activists and pastors.
