The article attempts to present the unlawful behavior and attitudes of prison officers who, in the years 1944-1956, while serving in the then province, committed criminal, unethical, sexual behavior. The victims of this type of situation were persons deprived of their liberty and, in some cases, members of their families. The perpetrators of this type of behavior used their official position, and counted on impunity and no need to incur official and criminal liability.

W artykule podjęto próbę zaprezentowania niepraworządnych zachowań i postaw funkcjonariuszy więziennictwa, którzy w latach 1944–1956, pełniąc służbę na terenie ówczesnego województwa rzeszowskiego, dopuszczali się zachowań przestępczych, nieetycznych o podłożu seksualnym. Ofiarami tego rodzaju przestępstw były osoby pozbawione wolności, a także w niektórych sytuacjach członkowie ich rodzin. Sprawcy wykorzystywali swoje stanowisko służbowe, liczyli przy tym na bezkarność i brak konieczności ponoszenia odpowiedzialności służbowej i karnej.
