The project „The evaluation of environment condition in areas vulnerable to nitrogen pollution in Wielkopolska” was implemented within Institute of Plant Protection-National Research Institute and Wielkopolska Agricultural Advisory Centre in Poznań cooperation. The project was subsidized by Regional Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Poznań. The aim of the analysis was to evaluate a certain number of environment components such as biodiversity and phytosanitary condition indicators. The analysis was conducted on chosen farms in areas vulnerable to nitrogen pollution in Wielkopolska. The farms area ranged from 10 to over 30 ha. On each farm one or two crops were fully analysed. All biodiversity factors were high or medium. Pests and diseases, which may cause a critical threat to monocultures and simplified rotation, occurrence was examined. It was concluded that infestation level of examined crops was not epidemic. The high quantity of beneficial and predatory insects balanced pests quantity. Different species and groups of weeds were found on each crop.

The biological control simply aims to use naturally occuring enemies to help reduce the invasive plant’s impact on agriculture and environment. Some herbivores and pathogens can be effective biocontrol agents for weeds. Not all weeds are suitable for biological control. The selection of appropriate target weeds is a serious consideration. It can take up to twenty scientist years to reach a successful conclusion. Environmental considerations may restrict future biological control practice because of increased concerns about possible damage to non target native or even agricultural plants. However, biological control has been successfully used against a wide variety of weed types, from a broad taxonomic spectrum, from annual herbs to trees. The diversity of weeds that have been controlled biologically Is a clear indication of a great utility of the method, even it is not possible to predict the outcome of particular projects. Developing a biological control project requires a substantial investment. Considerably host-specifity testing is done prior to the release of biological control agents to ensure they will not pose a threat to non target species such as native and agricultural plants In Europe no classical biological control agent has been released against an invasive weed, but many studies are carried out and future expectations lead in this direction.

This article deals with the parable about pulling up the tares in the Coptic Gospel of Thomas (log. 57). It interprets this parable in the literary and theological context of this gospel and compares it with its parallel in the Gospel according to Matthew. The tares/weeds can represent those who did not reach a true understanding of the Father's kingdom and so they could not enter it. In the Gospel of Thomas the phrase 'the day of the harvest' is not to be understood apocalyptically or eschatologically; it confirms and emphasizes the radical and definitive fate of those people without true knowledge and it also points to the essential relevance of the understanding of the kingdom already present in the world. Comparison with Matthew's parallel has shown that the author of GThom knew and took over the canonical version; modifying it, he placed emphasis on pulling up the tares/weeds.
