The international community is making increased efforts to tackle the global pandemic of the COVID-19 virus, which is destroying society’s highest protected interest - human lives and endangering the population. The economy of each state are also secondarily affected. Some sectors have created and are creating a potential threat to support the spread of the corona virus. Unfortunately, the Transport sector and the Air Transport sub-sector are among such entities. The article presents the first part of a research study aimed at identifying the research problem of applied research in air transport and a description of the research intention to solve the problem.

The article reveals the status of express sociology as a scientific discipline. Were identified the factors that contributed to the appearance of operative sociology. These include: social dynamics, the time factor, the modern technology of public opinion surveys. Also were disclosed methodological bases of express sociology. Operative sociology relates to the field of humanitarian technologies and can serve as a management tool. In addition, benefits and risks of operational sociology technologies were established.

The article looks at public‑private partnership as an instruments of financing research, development and innovation projects (R&D&I) in Poland. The author introduces the case of the National Centre for Research and Development (NCRD), a governmental executive agency set up to fund applied research. The paper begins with presenting the rationale for changes in the structure of R&D&I funding by increasing the private expenditures, as it can result in a more innovative economy. Next, the author presents the tasks, range and results of NCRD activities, which focus on strengthening of cooperation between science and business, as well as increasing the business investment in R&D&I projects. The author also covers new pilot undertakings based on public‑private partnership created by NCRD, venture capital funds and seed fund investors.

In response to K. Šebesta’s article, this paper attempts to assert the scientific nature of the didactics of Czech language as the mother tongue. The authors challenge the notion that the Czech language Didactics is but applied science and suggest to consider it an interdisciplinary field that requires both basic and applied research.

In debates undertaken in the general pedagogy area, a significant place is occupied by methodological issues related to searching for new possibilities of generating pedagogical knowledge. It is a result of various conditions. Most of all, it is a response to changes that take place in widely defined education and newly posed questions about the usefulness of pedagogical knowledge. It is also an important fragment of creating the discipline’s identity, entering into the dynamic process of its internal changes and development. There are new questions related to the subject’s conceptualisation, new ways of formulating research problems, which requires new methodological solutions. The  study presented is meant to be a voice in the debate over situating research  defined as applied/practical regarding  the needs of pedagogical practice as well as pedagogical theory. Special emphasis was laid on evaluation research in education, which in the author’s opinion generates many possibilities of identifying consequential pedagogical issues.

W debatach podejmowanych w obszarze pedagogiki ogólnej istotne miejsce zajmują kwestie metodologiczne, związane z poszukiwaniem nowych możliwości wytwarzania wiedzy pedagogicznej. Wynika to z kilku przesłanek. Przede wszystkim jest odpowiedzią na zmiany zachodzące w szeroko rozumianej edukacji i stawianych na nowo pytań o użyteczność wiedzy pedagogicznej. Stanowi też istotny fragment budowania tożsamości dyscypliny, wpisujący się w dynamiczny proces jej wewnętrznych zmian i rozwoju. Pojawiają się nowe pytania w obszarze konceptualizacji przedmiotu badań, zarysowywane są również nowe sposoby formułowania problemów badawczych, a to wymaga nowych rozwiązań metodologicznych. Prezentowane opracowanie pomyślane zostało jako głos w dyskusji nad usytuowaniem badań określanych jako praktyczne/stosowane w odniesieniu do pojawiających się potrzeb praktyki i teorii pedagogicznej. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na badania ewaluacyjne w edukacji, które zdaniem autorki generują wiele możliwości rozpoznawania ważkich kwestii pedagogicznych.

It is necessary to create new knowledge for the development of the economy. The source of new knowledge are research: basic, applied and industrial, which complement each other to form one whole. Each of these research has other sources of financing and other purposes. Due to the large influx of foreign technology to Poland industrial research is not growing as we would expect. To balance this deficiency the Research Institutes may provide services on the world market. It would be advisable to seek the provision of services on the global research market so that it could became a Polish smart specialization. This specialization would include the sale of intellect, which should never run out of customers.

Dla rozwoju gospodarki niezbędne jest tworzenie nowej wiedzy. Źródłem nowej wiedzy są badania: podstawowe, stosowane i przemysłowe, które wzajemnie się uzupełniają tworząc jedną całość. Każde z tych badań ma inne źródła finansowania oraz inne cele. W związku ze znacznym napływem do Polski zagranicznych technologii badania przemysłowe nie rozwijają się tak jak można by oczekiwać. Dla zrównoważenia tego niedoboru może być świadczenie przez instytuty badawcze, usług na rynku światowym. Byłoby celowym podjęcie starań świadczenia usług na światowym rynku badań tak by stało się to polską inteligentną specjalizacją. Specjalizacja ta obejmowałaby sprzedaż intelektu, na który nigdy nie powinno zabraknąć klientów.

Yra žinomi 5 atvejai, kai bandyta parengti tokių tyrimų normatyvus, visų bandymų produktai yra iš dalies išlikę ir saugomi Vilniaus apskrities archyve. Pateikiamas šių bandymų nagrinėjimas ir pasiūlymai, paremti straipsnio autoriaus 22 metų asmeniniu įdirbiu tyrimų srityje, kaip pritaikyti kolektyvinę pirmtakų ir savo patirtį nustatant natūros tyrimų principus dabartinėmis paveldosaugos sistemos sąlygomis.

The paper deals with previously unpublished problems of life (live) research in architecture. There have been 5 known cases of attempts to develop standards of such a research, and the results of all the attempts are partially preserved and stored in the Vilnius County archive. Analysis of these attemps and suggestions on applying personal and collective experience of predecessors in determining the principles of life (live) research for the current system of heritage are based on the personal 22-year experience of the author of this paper.
