The text concerns the creation of the first Baroque chapel erected at the southern aisle of the Wrocław cathedral in 1672, and its interior. The founder of the chapel was Wrocław Canon Johann Jakob Brunetti (1629–1692), who came from Massa di Carrara, Tuscany and was laid to rest in the chapel’s crypt along with his brother Johann (1646–1703), the assistant bishop. Despite its modest size the work deserves attention for its preserved decor – the altar and two epitaphs made of Dębnik marble and rich acanthus frieze, contrasting with the dome’s vault, decorated with coffers and rosettes. The applied forms indicate good knowledge of both Italian Renaissance and early Baroque traditions displayed by the designer of the work, Carlo Rossi, who came from the vicinity of Como, Lombardy. It makes the chapel an interesting work of art of dual stylistic character, which along with the chapel of St. Cross at the Church of BVM on Piasek Island, initiated the erection of further works of this type at the cathedral and at the Dominican and Premonstratensian churches in Wrocław.

Prince Adam Jerzy Czartoryski’s contacts with Italian sculptors and purchases of sculptures during his stay in Rome from August 1800 to May 1801 are discussed. Resorting to the correspondence of Prince Czartoryski with his mother Izabela Czartoryska, licenses to export art works beyond the Papal States kept in the Archivio di Stato di Roma, and notes in the diary of the Roman sculptor and antique dealer Vincenzo Pacetti, it was possible to reconstruct picture of the then interests of Prince Czartoryski, his relations with Rome’s circle of sculptors and antique dealers, as well as of his purchase of sculptures and efforts made to have, among others, the following transported to Puławy in 1803, where they have been preserved to-date: the statute of a faun (before 1800), figure of a sleeping panther (1801), and the marble sarcophagus by Francesco Massimiliano Laboureur (1797).

Technological innovations are becoming a truly global phenomenon in the course of the twentieth first century. The article draws attention to the issue of sponsorship of two innovative projects dedicated to classical music – The Met Live in HD movie-theatre transmissions and Digital Concert Hall concerts on demand. The text shows how NGOs and commercial companies have been supporting the projects. The analysis includes all supporters. These are, respectively, Bloomberg, Toll Brothers and The Neubauer Family Foundation for The Met, and Sony and Deutsche Bank for Berliner Philharmoniker. Case study was chosen as the research method. The analysis revealed flexibility between the patterns of sponsorship and patronage, as well as absence of CSR term within campanies’ self-descriptions, except Deutsche Bank case.

The review concerns an extensive, collective monograph on the altar of St. Anne from 1519-1524, made by a Bavarian sculptor known as Monogramist IP. The relief was commissioned by the Bohemian lord, Zdenek Lev of Rožmitál, who was a leading figure in the political life of the Crown of the Kingdom of Bohemia in the first thirty years of the 16th century. The review proposed a different motive for commissioning the work. Its content related to family and motherhood suggests that it was created as a gift from a father to his son Adam and his wife, a Silesian noblewoman, Anna Haugwitz of Biskupice, in 1518. The review emphasized the extraordinary values of the publication, both scientific and editorial.
