W swoim artykule pochylam się nad tematem konstruowania pamięci w przestrzeni miasta, omówionego na przykładzie wybranego fragmentu Łodzi. Omawiam wybrane stanowiska badaczy zajmujących się pamięcią i miastem; oba z tych tematów doczekały się licznych opracowań w naukach społecznych. Własne badanie przeprowadziłem zgodnie z procedurami wizualnej teorii ugruntowanej. Rezultat analizy opisuję, prezentując główne kategorie opracowanej teorii oraz hipotezy, do których doprowadził mnie proces badawczy. Proponuję, by lokować proces konstruowania pamięci w przestrzeni miasta między krajobrazem pamięci, na który składa się ogół symbolicznych reprezentacji związanych z przeszłością danego miejsca oraz doświadczeniem jednostki, która jako czynny podmiot odbiera i interpretuje to, co znajduje się wokół niej oraz na tej podstawie podejmuje określone działania

In my article, I focus on the issue of constructing memory in urban space, taking a selected fragment of Łódź as an example. I discuss the chosen perspectives of researchers dealing with memory and the city; both of these topics have been covered by numerous studies in the social sciences. I conducted my research according to the procedures of visual grounded theory. The result of the analysis is discussed by presenting the main categories of the theory developed and the hypotheses to which the research process led me. I propose to locate the process of constructing memory in urban space between the memoryscape, which consists of all material and symbolic representations related to the past of a given place, and the experience of an individual who, as an active subject, perceives and interprets what is around them and, on this basis, takes certain actions.

The article is an attempt to investigate the contemporary creativityof the French, third wave feminist, and novel writer Virginie Despentes with a focuson changes taking place in her work over the last twenty years. The first part showsthe scope of the early phase of her artistic activity, which, on the main level, deals withspecific issues in the French culture of the last decade of the past century, especiallythose taking place in relation to the reconfiguration of the French literary fieldin the middle of the 1990s. Of particular importance are changes in approachesof those who were excluded or marginalized because of their race/gender/classposition (most often femininists), including issues of self-representation andthe appearance of the trash literature trend. The second part of the article takes as its goal enhancing the queer aspectof Despentes’ last project. It analyses Apocalypse bébé on the basis of geopoeticalinstrumentarium and presents information concerning the spatio-temporal dimensionsof the (non)normative identities of the main characters. The authors constructionof the urban chronotope of Paris and Barcelona is considered from a criticalqueer theory perspective, leading to the thesis of a specific utopian turn taking placein Despentes’ last novel.

Artykuł stanowi próbę prześledzenia twórczości współczesnej,trzeciofalowej, francuskiej powieściopisarki, VirginiiDespentes, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniemzachodzących w niej na przestrzeni ubiegłych dwudziestu latzmian. W pierwszej części przedstawiony zostaje zaryswczesnego etapu jej pisarstwa. Na pierwszy plan wysuwają sięspecyficzne dla kultury francuskiej końca ubiegłego stuleciakwestie kontekstualne: zwłaszcza zachodzących w relacjido rekonfiguracji francuskiego pola literackiego w połowie latdziewięćdziesiątych przemian w strategii (samo)reprezentacjipodmiotów wykluczonych z uwagi na ich rasowo-płciowo-klasowe usytuowanie, oraz wyłonienia się nurtu literaturyopatrzonej mianem „trashowej”.Druga część stawia sobie za cel wydobycie queerowego aspektuostatniego projektu Despentes. Przeprowadzona w oparciuo geopoetologiczne instrumentarium analiza utworu Apocalypsebébé dostarcza informacji na temat czasoprzestrzennychuwarunkowań (nie)normatywnych tożsamości głównychbohaterów. Autorska konstrukcja miejskiego chronotopu Paryżai Barcelony zestawiona zostaje z propozycjami badaczy kulturyspod znaku krytycznych teorii queer, prowadząc do tezyo specyficznym ,,zwrocie utopijnym” zachodzącym w ostatniejpowieści tej pisarki.
