W artykule przedstawiono wybrane zagadnienia dotyczące wynagrodzenia pośredników ubezpieczeniowych, w szczególności brokera ubezpieczeniowego. Autorka przedstawia ogólną charakterystykę działalności brokerskiej, istotę wynagrodzenia pośredników ubezpieczeniowych, a następnie omawia regulacje prawne zawarte w ustawie o dystrybucji ubezpieczeń, dotyczące wynagrodzenia brokera i różnych jego form zdefiniowanych w ustawie oraz obowiązków informacyjnych. Przepisy te budzą wątpliwości interpretacyjne i w związku z tym autorka podejmuje próbę doprecyzowania przedmiotowych regulacji również w świetle praktyki stosowanej na rynku w systemach wynagradzania pośredników ubezpieczeniowych.

This article is devoted to selected issues related to the remuneration of insurance intermediaries, in particular insurance brokers. Having presented a general characteristics of brokerage activities and the essence of the insurance intermediaries' remuneration, the author discusses the legal regulations included in the Insurance Distribution Act regarding broker remuneration and its different forms defined therein as well as an obligation to provide information. As these provisions raise interpretative uncertainties, the author attempts to clarify the interpretation of these regulations, also in view of systems of insurance intermediaries' remuneration applied in business practice.
