This article is a linguistic analysis of a novel by Wiktor Gomulicki entitled Wspomnienia niebieskiego mundurka (Memoirs of a School Uniform). The novel tells about the experiences of boys attending a five year male county school in Pułtusk, where Gomulicki himself was a student in the mid-XIX century. The language of the novel is different than today, it is characteristic of the XIX century lexical, phonological and grammatical system. Most changes are in vocabulary. There are many words in the novel, such as bakalarnia, pomada, sztuba, that are now regarded as old or dated Polish.

W niniejszym artykule dokonano analizy językowej w powieści Wiktora Gomulickiego Wspomnienia niebieskiego mundurka. Powieść ta opowiada o losach chłopców uczęszczających do pięcioletniej szkoły powiatowej w Pułtusku (gdzie uczył się też W. Gomulicki) w połowie XIX wieku. Język powieści różni się od dzisiejszego. Ma cechy XIX-wiecznego systemu leksykalnego, fonologicznego i gramatycznego. Najwięcej zmian jest w zakresie słownictwa. W powieści zapisano wiele wyrazów, które obecnie uznajemy za dawne, przestarzałe, np. bakalarnia, pomada, sztuba itd.
