Václav Vladivoj Tomek’s unique 1892 map of medieval Prague offers new perspectives and opportunities for exploring the historical cores of European cities using digital humanities tools. This paper presents the methodology behind an interactive map application based on Tomek’s reconstruction of 1419, enhanced with the latest findings from historiography, archaeology and conservation. The application allows multi-level searches, comparisons with maps from the 18th to the 21st century, and connections to expert databases, offering a detailed spatial analysis of the medieval urban landscape and valuable material for the study of medieval urbanonymy.
