The article based on analysis of legal acts, documents and literatures of objects has on purpose, presentation the degree of protection polish consumer in range of information and education. Consumer protection in information and education aspect is showed on back- ground of another consumer laws: to safety, public health, protection of economic intere- sts, effective system of investigation of pretension, banding and representation. Publication include characterization of selected legal acts touch to consumer legalizations in European Union and Poland. Within the organizational structure it discuss competence of individual consumer protection subjects in range of education and information. Afterwards in farthest part analyzed chosen aspect of education and information policy included in Consumer protection policy in years 2007-2009.

Artykuł oparty został na analizie aktów prawnych, dokumentów oraz literatury przedmiotu i ma na celu przedstawienie stopnia ochrony praw polskich konsumentów w zakresie informacji i edukacji. Ochrona praw konsumentów w aspekcie informacyjno-edukacyjnym ukazana została na tle pozostałych praw konsumenta, tj. prawa do bezpieczeństwa i ochrony zdrowia, ochrony interesów ekonomicznych, efektywnego systemu dochodzenia roszczeń oraz zrzeszania się i reprezentacji. W publikacji scharakteryzowano wybrane akty prawa unijnego i krajowego w zakresie edukacji i informacji konsumenckiej. W kontekście instytucjonalnym omówiono kompetencje poszczególnych podmiotów ochrony praw konsumenta w zakresie edukacji i informacji. W dalszej części analizie poddano wybrane aspekty polityki edukacyjnej i informacyjnej rządu, zawarte w „Strategii polityki konsumenckiej na lata 2010-2013”.
