Blessed Dorothy of Great Montau (1347-1394) is one of the most outstanding ascetics and mystics of medieval and modern Europe. The subject of this article is the death's exercise, undertaken in the form of passive and active acts. The analysis of the phenomenon of this exercise during childhood, carried out on the basis of printed sources, leads to the determination of its: causes, course, essence and effects of these spiritual exercise, as well as to the formulating conclusions in the space of children's mysticism. The article also contains the other scientific postulates.

Bł. Dorota z Mątów Wielkich (1347-1394) jest jedną z najwybitniejszych ascetek i mistyczek średniowiecznej i nowożytnej Europy. Przedmiotem tego artykułu jest „ćwiczenie śmierci”, podejmowane przez nią w formach aktów biernych i czynnych. Analiza fenomenu przebiegu tego ćwiczenia w okresie dzieciństwa, przeprowadzona na podstawie źródeł drukowanych, prowadzi do określenia: przyczyn, przebiegu, istoty i skutków tego ćwiczenia duchowego oraz sformułowania wniosków w przestrzeni mistyki dziecięcej. Artykuł zawiera ponadto inne postulaty naukowe.
