Na tle krytyki ekonomii, słabo radzącej sobie z współczesnymi wyzwaniami, zbyt małej otwartości ekonomii głównego nurtu na stanowiska heterodoksyjne oraz na inne dyscypliny nau-kowe oraz postulatów dotyczących pluralizmu metodologicznego i rosnącej potrzeby jej otwiera-nia się na dorobek innych nauk, w artykule przedstawione zostały wybrane propozycje usprawnie-nia dialogu oraz przełamywania barier w zakresie wyjaśniania mechanizmu zintegrowanego roz-woju. Ta niezbędna integracja tak wewnątrz dyscypliny, jak i w skali interdyscyplinarnej stanowi bowiem trudne wyzwanie dla środowiska naukowego w dziedzinie nauk społecznych. Spośród propozycji zgodnego połączenia sił wybrane zostały stanowiska: T. Borysa, M.G. Woźniaka, E. Ostrom i R. Domańskiego. Osadzone one zostały w kontekście inspiracji wypływa-jących z dorobku nowej ekonomii instytucjonalnej, odkrywanej na nowo koncepcji dobra wspól-nego oraz rodzącej się ekonomii zrównoważonego rozwoju.

Against the background of criticism of economics, poor as they cope with contemporary challenges, too little openness to mainstream economics and heterodox positions to other disci-plines and methodological pluralism demands and grow-more needs of its opening up to the achievements of other sciences, has been presented in the article-ly selected proposals to improve the dialogue and overcoming barriers in terms of explaining the mechanism of integrated devel-opment. The need for integration as in-intake grid discipline, and in a multi-disciplinary constitutes a difficult challenge for the scientific community in the field of social sciences. Among the proposals in accordance teaming were selected positions: T. Borys, M.G. Woźniak, E. Ostrom, R. Domański. They were embedded in the context of in-inspiration flowing from the output of the new institutional economics, flipped on the concept of the common good of the newly emerging economies and sustainable development.
