The system of higher education faces many challenges in the time of the epidemic crisis. The necessity to organize the educational process and further verification of the effects in an unconventional manner, was in many cases perceived as a problem and a threat. The university’s previous experiences, mainly in the field of conducting classes with the use of distance learning methods, turned out to be very useful in this situation. In the article I analyze the impact of the crisis on the educational process at universities, primarily with the instance of the University of Economy. It encompasses the ways of dealing with this crisis and the causes of emerging difficulties. First of all, however, the article points out that treating this situation as an opportunity for a development, enables more effective actions and creates prospects for the future.

W dobie kryzysu związanego z epidemią przed systemem kształcenia na poziomie wyższym stanęło wiele wyzwań. Konieczność zorganizowania procesu kształcenia i weryfikacji efektów w sposób odmienny od tradycyjnego w wielu przypadkach była postrzegana jako problem i zagrożenie. Dotychczasowe doświadczenia uczelni, głównie w zakresie realizacji zajęć z wykorzystaniem metod i technik kształcenia na odległość, okazywały się bardzo przydatne w tej sytuacji. W artykule analizuję wpływ sytuacji kryzysu na proces kształcenia w uczelniach, głównie na przykładzie Wyższej Szkoły Gospodarki, sposoby radzenia sobie z tym kryzysem, przyczyny pojawiających się trudności. Przede wszystkim jednak próbuję wskazać, że potraktowanie tej sytuacji jako szansy rozwojowej umożliwia skuteczniejsze działanie i stwarza perspektywy na przyszłość.
