The loneliness of a child in one’s own family is an increasingly common phenomenon. This problem concerns not only dysfunctional families, but also seemingly well-functioning families. The state of loneliness of a child in his own family significantly disturbs his development in the emotional, social, educational and even moral cheese. The consequences of this problem translate into other environments of social functioning of children and adolescents, such as school, local and peer environments. The problems highlighted in the text are: What are the macrosocial and intra-family causes of loneliness of children and adolescents? What are the negative social, emotional and educational consequences of lonely children?

Osamotnienie dziecka we własnej rodzinie stanowi coraz powszechniejsze zjawisko. Problem ten dotyczy nie tylko rodzin dysfunkcyjnych, ale też rodzin dobrze funkcjonujących, z pozoru. Stan osamotnienia dziecka we własnej rodzinie istotnie zaburza jego rozwój w sferze emocjonalnej, społecznej, edukacyjnej, a nawet moralnej. Konsekwencje tego problemu przekładają się na inne środowiska funkcjonowania społecznego dzieci i młodzieży takie jak: środowisko szkolne, lokalne i rówieśnicze. Problemy badawcze, które rozpatrywano w tekście brzmią: Jakie są przyczyny makrospołeczne i wewnątrzrodzinne osamotnienia dzieci i młodzieży? Jakie są negatywne konsekwencje społeczne, emocjonalne i wychowawcze u dzieci z poczuciem osamotnienia?

W artykule poruszono zagadnienia dobra dziecka, dysfunkcji rodziny i pieczy zastępczej w polskim systemie prawnym. Opisano znaczenie rodziny, jej funkcji i roli w życiu każdego dziecka. Przybliżono problem dysfunkcji rodziny oraz niewłaściwych postaw i zachowań rodzicielskich. Przedstawiono także instytucję pieczy zastępczej jako formę pomocy rodzinie stosowaną w przypadku braku należytej pieczy rodzicielskiej oraz naruszenia zasady dobra dziecka.

In the article, the issues concerning child welfare, family dysfunctions and foster care in Polish legal system are discussed. The thesis characterizes the importance of the family, its functions and the role in the life of each child. The problem of family dysfunctions, improper attitudes and parental behaviours is disclosed. Moreover, the foster care institution is presented as a form of family support applied in the absence of due parental care and violation of the child welfare principle.

Rodzina stanowiąca naturalne środowisko wychowawcze dla mło- dego pokolenia, nie zawsze prawidłowo wywiązuje się z ról i zadań wychowawczych. Zdarzenia losowe, dysfunkcje powodują, iż role te zostają odwrócone, tj. dzieci przejmują zadania dorosłych. Określa się to terminem parentyfikacja. Celem podjętych badań było poznanie przeżywanych w okresie dzieciństwa doświadczeń związanych z parentyfikacją z perspektywy młodych dorosłych. Zostały one przeprowadzone wśród studentów Uniwersytetu Opolskiego, a wzięło w nich udział 300 osób. Respondenci doświadczający inwersji ról w rodzinach stają się silniejsi, odpowiedzialni, zaradni, zdobywają przydatne w życiu umiejętności. Przez całe życie nadmiernie poświęcają się innym, nie myśląc o zaspokojeniu własnych potrzeb. Problematyka ta powinna stać się dla pedagogów i andragogów obszarem zainteresowań naukowych, bowiem może niejednokrotnie wpływać na przystosowanie i funkcjonowanie jednostki w dorosłym życiu.

The family, which constitutes a natural rearing environment for each new generation, does not always play the roles or execute tasks set to it in a proper way. Chance events or dysfunctions cause the roles to be reversed, that is it is children who take over the tasks designed for adults. This is referred to using the term parentification. The aim of the studies was to find out about the experience connected with parentification, which the young go through in their childhoods, from the perspective of young adults. The studies were conducted among students of Opole University and covered 300 subjects who took part in them. The respondents, who have experienced or were experiencing the inversion of roles in their families, have become stronger, more responsible and resourceful, as well as have gained new skills which are useful in life. For the major part of their lives such individuals excessively devote themselves to others, without thinking about satisfying their own needs. Thus, this is a problem area, which should be of scholarly interest to pedagogues and adult educators (andragogues), since parentification can exert a considerable influence on the individuals’ adjustment to and functioning in their adult lives in the future.

The article analyzes the situation of violence in the family and its impact on dysfunctional roles of its members. The problem is viewed in the context of sociological data and selected aspects of assistance to the family, such as crisis intervention care. Besides intervention actions, the article discusses recommendations pertaining to basic requirements of effective help in a situation of family dysfunction. The focus of the analysis is on the role of the child in a family experiencing direct and indirect violence, where it plays the role of an observer of the suffering of its close ones. An important issue considered here is that of developmental disorders in a child with experience of trauma and its consequences. Traumatic experiences often go hand in hand with the problems of a child in the role of a witness reporting the situation in the family in order to trigger profession assistance. In connection with this the article also discusses the requirement of conducting professional interviews to investigate the situation in the family, and the necessity of therapeutic interaction with children who are victims of family violence.

Artykuł analizuje sytuację przemocy w rodzinie i jej wpływ na dysfunkcjonalne role jej członków. Problem osadzony jest w kontekście danych socjologicznych, a także w wybranych aspektach pomocy rodzinie, jakimi są na przykład działania dotyczące interwencji kryzysowej. Obok nich w artykule wymienione są wskazania dotyczące podstawowych wymogów skutecznej pomocy w sytuacji dysfunkcji rodziny. Analiza skupiona jest również na roli dziecka w rodzinie doświadczającego przemocy bezpośredniej i pośredniej, odgrywającego rolę obserwatora cierpień bliskich. Ważnym wątkiem rozważań jest także wskazanie na zaburzenie rozwoju dziecka doświadczającego traumatycznych przeżyć i konsekwencji z tym związanych. Obok traumatycznych przeżyć lokowane są także problemy dziecka w roli świadka relacjonującego o sytuacji w rodzinie w celu uruchomienia profesjonalnej pomocy. W związku z tym treść artykułu odnosi się także do wymogów profesjonalnego prowadzenia wywiadów mających służyć badaniu sytuacji w rodzinie, a także do konieczności oddziaływania terapeutycznego na dzieci będące ofiarami przemocy.
