The goal of the article is to characterize the estimation of the tax base in polish tax law and to present actual problems relating to its application by the tax authorities. The author indicates shortcomings of the legal regulations and the direction of the proposed changes.

Autorka wskazuje na niedostateczną regulację prawną w omawianym zakresie oraz opisuje praktyczne problemy związane z funkcjonowaniem instytucji.
