The concept of zero waste, most frequently understood as the idea or the lifestyle consisting in the limitation of waste production through conscious consumption as well as such management of products so as to avoid waste production, may exert impact on the manner of the perception of things. In the first part of the article there has been conducted the analysis of the internationalism zero waste in the Polish ecological discourse (the analysis of meaning). In the further stages there have been presented the ways of perceiving and evaluating things (the identification of the toposes).

Koncepcja zero waste, rozumiana najczęściej jako idea lub styl życia polegający na ograniczeniu produkcji odpadów poprzez świadomą konsumpcję oraz takie gospodarowanie produktami, by uniknąć powstawania śmieci, może mieć wpływ na sposób postrzegania rzeczy, przedmiotów. W pierwszej części artykułu dokonano analizy funkcjonowania w polskim dyskursie ekologicznym internacjonalizmu zero waste (analiza znaczenia). W drugiej części tekstu przedstawiono sposoby postrzegania i wartościowania przedmiotów (identyfikacja toposów).

Artykuł jest poświęcony badaniom systemu wartości i sposobu ich rozumienia przez młodzież szkół gimnazjalnych. W celu rekonstrukcji typów i hierarchii wartości wykorzystano badania ankietowe przeprowadzone w grupie 110 respondentów. W wyniku analiz materiału badawczego stwierdzono, iż młodzież rozumie sens konkretnej wartości, a najwyższe miejsca w rankingu wartości zajmują: rodzina, przyjaciele i zdrowie.

The article is devoted to the study of the value system and the way values are understood by junior high school students. A survey of 110 respondents was used to reconstruct types and hierarchies of values. Results of the analysis of the research material conclude that young people understand the meaning of a particular value, and the top places in the ranking of values are: family, friends and health.

Artykuł przedstawia strategię kształcenia kulturowego mającą na celu pogłębienie odbioru tekstów literackich i pozaliterackich w praktyce szkolnej. Odwołując się zarówno do kognitywnej myśli filmowej, jak i doświadczeń dydaktyki i krytyki literatury, autor zaleca wartościowanie tekstów na podstawie ich kategoryzacji oraz porównywanie dzieł literackich i filmowych. Uczeń powinien mieć prawo do czynności właściwych profesjonalnej krytyce, co może stworzyć warunki do ożywienia szkolnych spotkań z tekstami kultury.

The article presents the author’s strategy for teaching literature and media studies, the goal of which is to, encourage sustained and more serious reading of literature and appreciation of other worthy texts within the school system. The author refers to cognitive film theory as well as to experience of literature teaching and criticism. The core of the proposition is to encourage educators to launch a school strategy of text evaluation after categorization. The author also recommends a comparison of literature with filmic texts. The strategy described in the article equips pupils with the chance to use the critic’s technique during lessons. It may offer an opportunity to revitalize the teaching of literature, literary appreciation and film studies.
