The issue of family education is one of the most recent social problems. Reflections on the problems of education in the family life of adults was the basis of the study aimed at investigating the state of readiness of adults to live together in the family in the contemporary society, the propositions of the educational institutions regarding the attempts to solve some of the problems of the education in family life, and the direct recipients of the educational influence – in other words, the adults.

Praktyka pracy socjalnej odbywa się pomiędzy członkami rodzin a innymi instytucjami społecznymi, takimi jak: szkoły, systemy opieki zdrowotnej, systemy opieki społecznej i sądy. Czerpiąc z multidyscyplinarnych źródeł teoretycznych, artykuł łączy pracę socjalną i terapię rodzinną w celu opracowania współczesnego modelu praktyki pracy socjalnej z rodzinami. Istnieje pięć ogólnych zasad systemowej praktyki rodzinnej: 1) osoby są z natury relacyjne; 2) rodziny mają siły rodzące sprężystość psychiczną; 3) cykle życia rodzinnego postępują systemowo, generując relacyjne zadania dla członków rodziny; 4) powtarzające się interakcje rodzinne generują struktury relacyjne; 5) kultury, postrzegane przez członków rodziny, znajdują się w stanie dynamicznego ruchu, co wymaga transkulturowego zrozumienia interakcji rodziny.

Social work practice takes place between persons in families and other social institutions, such as schools, health systems, welfare systems or courts. Drawing from multi-disciplinary theoretical sources, the article brings together social work and family therapy to develop a contemporary model of social work practice with families. There are five generic principles of family systemic practice: 1) persons are inherently relational; 2) families have resilient strengths; 3) family life cycles proceed systemically generating relational tasks for family members; 4) repetitive family interaction generates relational structures; 5) cultures, as perceived by family members, are themselves in dynamic motion, necessitating a transcultural understanding of family interaction.

Differentiation, adolescent autonomy from the perspective of family therapy

The paper starts from the premise that late and not always complete differentiation from the family of origin is a significant problem in our society. We intend to discuss this issue by referring to individual developmental and family therapy models. The paper provides an overview of how different schools of family therapy, especially the transgenerational school, treat the question of individual differentiation. The other model to be described is Erik Erikson’s model of the individual psychosocial development. In summary, we aim to provide insights into comprehending the questions and difficulties of differentiation, and suggest possible ways of how the parent – child relations can develop for the child to reach confident adulthood from the inherent immaturity of adolescence.

Artykuł wychodzi z założenia, że późna i nie zawsze całkowita dyferencjacja z rodziny pochodzenia jest istotnym problemem w naszym społeczeństwie. Zamierzamy omówić tę kwestię, odnosząc się do modelu terapii indywidualnego rozwoju oraz modelu terapii rodzinnej. Praca ta przedstawia przegląd, jak różne szkoły terapii rodzinnej, szczególnie szkoła międzypokoleniowa, traktują kwestię indywidualnej dyferencjacji. Drugim modelem tu przedstawionym jest model Erika Eriksona, model indywidualnego psychospołecznego rozwoju. Podsumowując, staramy się zapewnić dogłębne zrozumienie problemów i trudności dyferencjacji oraz zasugerować możliwe sposoby, by relacje rodzice – dzieci mogły rozwijać się tak, by dziecko osiągnęło bezpieczną dorosłość z przyrodzonej niedojrzałości dorastania.
