The latest book by Marian Grabowski may be classified as biblical philosophy, i.e. the philosophical current of reading the biblical text and interpreting its meaning using philosophical categories. At the same time, this publication also deals with the issues of the philosophy of nature due to the clearly present attempts at philosophical grasping and presentation of the essence of material reality. This is how the author of the work dealt with the initial fragment of the biblical Book of Genesis (Genesis 1: 1-10), wanting to establish and show the depth of the meaning of this text, its philosophical connotations, and to reinterpret it in the light of philosophical categories distinguished on the basis of mathematics and physical image of the world. ------------- Received: 08/12/2019. Najnowsza książka Mariana Grabowskiego może zostać zakwalifikowana do tzw. filozofii biblijnej, czyli nurtu filozoficznego odczytywania tekstu biblijnego i interpretowania jego znaczenia przy użyciu kategorii filozoficznych. Jednocześnie publikacja ta podejmuje także problematykę z zakresu filozofii przyrody z racji wyraźnie obecnych w niej prób filozoficznego uchwycenia i przedstawienia istoty rzeczywistości materialnej. Autor pracy w ten właśnie sposób zmierzył się z początkowym fragmentem biblijnej Księgi Rodzaju (Rdz 1,1–10), chcąc ustalić i ukazać głębię znaczenia tego tekstu, jego filozoficzne konotacje, a także dokonać jego reinterpretacji w świetle kategorii filozoficznych wyodrębnionych na gruncie matematyczno-fizykalnego obrazu świata. ------------- Zgłoszono: 08/12/2019. Celem artykułu jest spojrzenie z perspektywy biblijnej na współczesny relatywizm wartości i norm. Za pomocą filozofii biblijnej próbujemy porównać sytuację ponowoczesnego chrześcijanina oraz wyznawcy starożytnego judaizmu; spotykającego się z kulturą hellenistyczną. Przedmiotem naszej refleksji są fragmenty Księgi Koheleta oraz Księgi Mądrości. Pierwszy punkt zawiera omówienie kultury ponowoczesnej oraz hellenistycznej. W drugim znajduje się zarys historii Izraela w epoce hellenistycznej. Trzeci punkt to egzegeza wybranych fragmentów Księgi Koheleta oraz Księgi Mądrości. Zakończenie zawiera próbę aktualizacji postaw autorów biblijnych wobec hellenizmu; w kontekście ponowoczesnego chrześcijaństwa.

The aim of the article is to investigate the contemporary relativism of values and norms from the biblical perspective. By means of biblical philosophy; we try to compare the situation of a post-modern Christian and the followers of ancient Judaism when they met with Hellenistic culture. The subject of our reflection are fragments of Ecclesiastes and the Book of Wisdom. The first chapter contains a discussion of post-modern and Hellenistic culture. The second contains an outline of the history of Israel in the Hellenistic era. The third point is the exegesis of selected passages of Ecclesiastes and the Book of Wisdom. The ending is an attempt to update the attitudes of biblical authors towards Hellenism in the context of postmodern Christianity.

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest analiza kilku uwag L. Wittgensteina, których tematem jest Pismo Święte. Egzegeza tych fragmentów będzie miała charakter pewnego wglądu i rozjaśnienia często niejasnych wypowiedzi austriackiego filozofa na temat Biblii. Uwagi Wittgensteina zestawione zostaną również ze współczesnymi historyczno-krytycznymi poglądami na temat ksiąg biblijnych. Wybrane do analizy fragmenty, mimo że nie pochodzą z „oficjalnych” dzieł austriackiego filozofa, czyli Traktatu logiczno-filozoficznego oraz Dociekań filozoficznych i prawdopodobnie nigdy nie miały zostać opublikowane, są jednak świadectwem jego intelektualnej aktywności i stanowią ważne źródło dla filozofii religii.

The purpose of this article is to discuss a few of L. Wittgenstein's remarks on the Bible. The exegesis has the character of a certain insight and clarification of the vague statements on the Bible given by an Austrian philosopher. Wittgenstein's remarks are compared with contemporary, historical and critical views on the biblical books. The texts selected for the analysis do not belong to the “official” works of the Austrian philosopher as Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus and Philosophical Investigations, and might never have been published. Nevertheless, they are a testimony of his intellectual activity and the important source of religious philosophy.
