W 2016 roku nastąpiło dalsze obniżenie deficytu sektora finansów publicznych (do 2,4% PKB), jednak dzięki radykalnemu obniżeniu wydatków inwestycyjnych. Pojawia się pytanie, czy można uznać to za poprawę stanu finansów publicznych. Miał miejsce także poważny wzrost długu publicznego, kwotowo znacznie przewyższający deficyt.

In 2016, there took place a further reduction of the public finance sector’s deficit (to 2.4% of GDP), though owing to the radical reduction of capital expenditure. There appears the question whether one could assume it as improvement of the public finance condition. There also took place a serious growth of public debt, in quota terms significantly excessing deficit.
