In 2007-2008 archaeological excavations were carried out at site 54 in Santocko (AZP 43-10/23), Kłodawa commune, lubuskie voivodeship. The article presents briefly the history and methodology of the conducted archaeological investigations in the area. Also reported are the results of analyses of acquired sources related to the oldest traces of human presence at the site in the late Palaeolithic. The paper also includes a characteristic of the Mesolithic settlement episode. The article covers also the youngest phase of human activity represented by the explored burial ground of the Lusatian culture of the younger periods of the Bronze Age.
