The study considers the evolution of the locution "Byzantine Slavonic rite" coined in the 1930s to refer to the liturgical tradition of the Neo-Union in Poland and the formative and pastoral responses offered by the Holy See to the Unionist movement. Special attention is given to the Roman edition of liturgical books in Church Slavonic and its pre-ecumenical insights.

Studium rozważa ewolucję określenia "obrządek bizantyjsko-słowiański" powstałego w latach trzydziestych XX wieku w odniesieniu do tradycji liturgicznej neounii w Polsce oraz formacyjne i duszpasterskie odpowiedzi Stolicy Apostolskiej na ruch unionistyczny. Szczególną uwagę poświęca się rzymskiej edycji ksiąg liturgicznych w języku cerkiewnosłowiańskim i jej przed ekumenicznym spostrzeżeniom.

In its beginnings (16th–18th centuries), the Bibliography of the history of the Church in Poland was formed within the framework of general, historical and theological compilations. When more extensive lists of works on the history of the Polish Church appeared in the first half of the 19th century, they constituted parts of literary and historical bibliographies. In the second half of the 19th century, bibliography of Church history in Poland was present within historical bibliography. The independence of the bibliography of Church history in Poland occurred as late as in the second half of the 20th century. It was inspired by Father Hieronim E. Wyczawski, a professor of theological sciences and Church historian, and an employee of the Academy of Catholic Theology. For the purposes of the projected retrospective and current bibliography of the history of the Church in Poland, he developed a detailed instruction on the method of its compilation. In 1977, volume one of the Bibliography of the History of the Church in Poland for 1944–1970 (in three parts) was published, prepared under his direction. Five more volumes covering the period 1971–1984 were published between 1977 and 1997. Their authors were Rev. Franciszek Stopniak, Rev. Marian Banaszak, Ryszard Żmuda and Piotr Latawiec. The Bibliography of the History of the Church in Poland takes into account not only the history of the Church in the strict sense, but also the history of church art, the history of theological sciences and the history of liturgy and worship. In addition to works on the history of the Catholic Church, it encompasses also those on the history of other Christian Churches operating in Poland. It follows a chronological and factual order, except for the volumes for 1971–1972 and 1973–1974, in alphabetical arrangement. The printed version of the Bibliography for 1944–1984 has been converted to electronic form and is available on the server of the Library of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University. Currently, the maintenance of this database is not being continued, so the content in it is not being supplemented. In addition, the Bibliography has been digitized and is available in the FIDES Virtual Book Collection of the Federation of Church Libraries.

Bibliografia historii Kościoła w Polsce w swych początkach (wiek XVI-XVIII) formowała się w ramach zestawień ogólnych, historycznych i teologicznych. W pierwszej połowie XIX wieku, kiedy pojawiały się już obszerniejsze wykazy piśmiennictwa dotyczącego dziejów Kościoła polskiego, stanowiły one część bibliografii historycznoliterackich. W drugiej połowie XIX wieku bibliografia historii Kościoła w Polsce występowała w obrębie bibliografii historycznej. Usamodzielnienie się bibliografii historii Kościoła w Polsce nastąpiło późno, bo dopiero w drugiej połowie XX wieku. Jej inspiratorem był o. Hieronim E. Wyczawski, profesor nauk teologicznych i historyk Kościoła, pracownik Akademii Teologii Katolickiej. Na potrzeby projektowanej, retrospektywnej i bieżącej, bibliografii historii Kościoła w Polsce opracował on szczegółową instrukcję dotyczącą metody jej opracowania. W 1977 roku ukazał się tom pierwszy, w trzech częściach, Bibliografii historii Kościoła w Polsce za lata 1944-1970, przygotowany pod jego kierunkiem. W latach 1977-1997 wydano kolejnych pięć tomów obejmujących okres 1971-1984. Ich autorami byli: ks. Franciszek Stopniak, ks. Marian Banaszak, Ryszard Żmuda i Piotr Latawiec. Bibliografia historii Kościoła w Polsce uwzględnia nie tylko historię Kościoła w ścisłym znaczeniu, ale również historię sztuki kościelnej, historię nauk teologicznych oraz historię liturgii i kultu. Oprócz prac z historii Kościoła katolickiego rejestruje te dotyczące dziejów innych Kościołów chrześcijańskich działających w Polsce. Ma ona układ chronologiczno-rzeczowy, z wyjątkiem tomów za lata 1971-1972 i 1973-1974, w których zastosowano układ alfabetyczny. Wersja drukowana Bibliografii za lata 1944-1984 została przekonwertowana do wersji elektronicznej i jest dostępna na serwerze Biblioteki Głównej Uniwersytetu Kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego. Aktualnie prowadzenie tej bazy nie jest kontynuowane, więc treści w niej zawarte nie są uzupełniane. Ponadto Bibliografia została zdigitalizowana i jest dostępna w Księgozbiorze Wirtualnym Federacji Bibliotek Kościelnych FIDES.

To begin with, it should be considered whether it is justified to discuss the problem of the endowment of monks living according to the rule that forbids accepting money and things of any material value. It seems it is, indeed, as they also strove to maintain their monasteries. There were various sources of income for monasteries. The money Bernardine monks ignored as synonymous with wealth in the 13th century, became, in the course of time, a means of payment used by all social classes. For this reason, the authors of laws and monastic constitutions have mitigated the strict orders of St. Francis of Assisi, sharing the Franciscans' opinion on poverty.

Artykuł podejmuje zagadnienie uposażenia zakonników żyjących według reguły zabraniającej przyjmowania pieniędzy i rzeczy mających jakąkolwiek wartość materialną. Również oni zabiegali o utrzymanie klasztorów. Różne były, jak się okazuje, źródła dochodów klasztorów. Ignorowany przez nich pieniądz, będący w XIII w. synonimem bogactwa, stał się, w miarę upływu czasu, środkiem płatniczym używanym przez wszystkie warstwy społeczne. Z tego względu autorzy ustaw i konstytucji zakonnych łagodzili na przestrzeni wieków surowe nakazy św. Franciszka z Asyżu, podzielając tym samym opinię franciszkanów na temat ubóstwa.
