The article is an interpretation of La puppé by Timothy Greenberg seen as non-standard, approving form of parody. The analysis begins with a reminder of attributes of this type of stylization, and then comparision of Greenberg’s film with Chris Marker’s La Jetée. No distinct criticism or polemic leads to theory, that the aim of La puppé is to reveal illusive nature of film language.

The article is dedicated to the poetics of obituaries homages by the Polish philosopher, ontologist and aesthetist, Roman Witold Ingarden. It centres on the issue of the extent to which the language of phenomenological perspective permeates the poetics of his occasional texts. The starting point is Ingarden ’s interpretation of memory as ‘spiritual power’, and therefore one that is not restricted exclusively to the didactical aspect, but, most importantly, one that facilitates ethical and moral development. The course of the reflection, as presented in the text, is therefore determined not exactly by philological analysis, but by an analysis concentrating on the composition scheme, which is a result of applying the phenomenological philosophy method.

This article deals with the hitherto unknown phenomenon of paying tribute to kings, princes, and free state lords in Silesia in the period 1600–1740. It is important that the formula for submitting the homage in the times cited changed dramatically, and the observation of the legal custom allowed us to distinguish three types of this type of ceremony. We distinguish, therefore, the tributes paid to the hands of royal-imperial dignitaries in the Superior Office in Wrocław by feudal princes (apart from the tributes paid in Vienna itself), tributes paid by princely vassals in hereditary principalities to the royal starosts, where the prince was almost always Habsburg during the period in question (exception: Duchy of Opole and Racibórz, 1645–1666). The third type of tribute were those that took place with the seizure of one of the six free state states (estates with rights similar to principalities). Attentions gets also the so-called “reverse guarantees” provided by newly acquiring principalities or their representatives. Apart from the legal and administrative aspects, the work also presents the cultural image of paying homage. It contains a description of the custom regarding the place of worship, the manner of gathering, or the texts of the oaths and homage replicas of the rulers, first time in the Polish translation.

Artykuł dotyczy nieznanego dotąd zjawiska składania danin królom, książętom i wolnym panom stanowym na Śląsku w latach 1600–1740. Co istotne, formuła składania hołdu w tych czasach zmieniła się diametralnie, a obserwacja zwyczaju prawnego pozwoliła wyróżnić trzy rodzaje tego typu ceremonii. Wyróżniamy więc daniny składane na ręce dygnitarzy królewsko-cesarskich w Urzędzie Zwierzchnim we Wrocławiu przez książęta lenne (abstrahując od hołdów składanych w samym Wiedniu), daniny składane przez lenników książęcych w księstwach dziedzicznych przed starostami królewskimi, gdzie w omawianym okresie księciem był prawie zawsze Habsburg (wyjątek: księstwo opolsko-raciborskie, 1645–1666). Trzecim typem daniny były te, które miały miejsce wraz z zajęciem jednego z sześciu wolnych państw stanowych (stanów o prawach zbliżonych do księstw). Uwagę zwracają także tzw. gwarancje odwrotne udzielane przez nowo przejmujących księstwa lub ich reprezentantów. Oprócz aspektu prawnego i administracyjnego w pracy przytoczony został również obraz kulturowy składania hołdu. Zawiera on opis obyczaju dotyczącego miejsca hołdu i sposobu gromadzenia się, a także po raz pierwszy w tłumaczeniu na język polski tekst przysiąg i homagialnych replik władców.
