My dissertation is titled “The image of the European Union as an organization in times of a crisis in the French journals in 2013-2015”. The first chapter is titled “The role of the media in France in creating the national and European identity”. It will characterize the main journals in France (“Le Figaro”, “Le Monde”, “France-Soir”) and their readers. In the second chapter, the content analysis of those journals will be undertaken to show the roles of French media, while the third chapter will present the expected functions of media. In this chapter, I will use the method of in-depth interviews, taking into consideration journalists and politicians representing different political views, social movements, trade unions and citizens. In conclusion, I will analyse the French public opinion’s views, representing various social groups, on specific media messages.

Wybranym przeze mnie tematem rozprawy doktorskiej, z zakresu nauk społecznych, w dyscyplinie nauk o mediach, jest „Wizerunek Unii Europejskiej jako organizacji w czasach kryzysu na łamach ogólnokrajowych dzienników francuskich w latach 2013-2015”. Rozdział pierwszy pracy, zatytułowany: „Media we Francji jako kreator tożsamości narodowej czy europejskiej?”, będzie charakteryzował zarówno opiniotwórcze dzienniki na rynku prasy codziennej we Francji - „Le „Figaro”, „Le Monde”, „France-Soir”, jak również ich czytelników. W rozdziale drugim, wykorzystując analizę zawartości i treści dzienników „Le Figaro”, „Le Monde” oraz „France-Soir”, przedstawię realizowane funkcje mediów francuskich, natomiast rozdział trzeci prezentował będzie oczekiwane funkcje mediów. W rozdziale tym posłużę się metodą indywidualnych wywiadów pogłębionych, biorąc pod uwagę opinie polityków z różnych partii politycznych, różnorodnych, francuskich ruchów społecznych oraz związków zawodowych. W zakończeniu rozprawy zaprezentuję wyniki analizy opinii Francuzów na temat określonych przekazów medialnych, reprezentujących różne grupy społeczne, uzyskane przy wykorzystaniu metody sędziów kompetentnych.
