An innovative business model is defined in literature as a model that allows for identification of opportunities for innovation in every aspect described by the business model. The article presents the areas of application of management accounting tools in creating and implementing innovative business models. Based on the analysis of the business model canvas, the authors presented areas, in which management accounting allows for implementing innovation, as well as the tools that can be used to obtain information on specific areas.

Innowacyjny model biznesu w literaturze jest definiowany jako model, który umożliwia identyfikowanie szans na innowacje w każdym aspekcie opisywanym przez model biznesu. Artykuł prezentuje obszary zastosowania narzędzi rachunkowości zarządczej przy tworzeniu oraz wdrażaniu tego typu modeli. Na podstawie analizy szablonu modelu biznesu określono obszary, w których rachunkowość zarządcza pozwala na wprowadzenie innowacji. Opisane zostały narzędzia, które mogą być wykorzystane dla pozyskania informacji o poszczególnych obszarach.
