Studenci-cudzoziemcy używają polszczyzny w specyficzny sposób. SJPdCUŁ zgromadziło zasób tekstów pisanych, które mogą być umieszczone w korpusie językowym. Jego przygotowanie właśnie się zaczęło. Rękopisy cudzoziemców mają jednak pewną graficzną specyfikę, a niektóre błędy zapisu prowadzą do efektów humorystycznych. Trudności wynikają często z nieodróżniania specyficznie polskich liter „ą” i „ę”; mylenia polskiego „ł” z łacińskim „t” oraz brania polskiego „z” za „z”. Wszystkie te zjawiska powinny być dostępne dla badaczy używających korpusu.

Foreign students studying in Poland use the Polish language in a specific way. The School of Polish for Foreigners at the University of Lodz has collected some written texts that can be used in a language corpus. The preparation of such a corpus has just started. Handwritings, however, have their visual characteristics. Texts written by foreign students include mistakes that lead to humoristic effects. Frequent difficulties come from unrecognized differences between specifically Polish letters “ą” and “ę”; between Polish letter “ł” and Latin “t” or Polish “z” pronounced as [zh] in contrast to “z” pronounced as [z]. All these visual effects should be available for researchers using the corpus.

• In the article, the author challenges the way intercultural competence is shaped by food customs. Many cultural rituals are centered around the preparation and serving of food and drinks. Getting to know all of those habits typical for a specific cultural community can be very useful when someone wants to get know a new language as well as a new culture. As a result, one's intercultural communicative competence will increase. In the theoretical part, the outlined steps should be taken into consideration, in order for the instructor to create a module dedicated to food during Polish language and culture classes for foreigners. The practical part involves showing tasks and exercises by introducing general and specific Polish traditions connected with food.

Artykuł opisuje rolę języka ojczystego w nauczaniu języka obcego oraz przedstawia wyniki analizy morfologicznej wypracowań Słoweńców studiujących polonistykę na Uniwersytecie w Lublanie. Studenci popełniają wiele błędów opartych na negatywnym transferze językowym. Przyjrzenie się obszarom trudności, jakie Słoweńcy mają z polszczyzną, pozwoli na opracowanie materiałów niezbędnych do nauczania i do pozbycia się interferencji.

The article describes the role that a learner’s native language plays in his second language acquisition. It is based on the results of an analysis of morphological errors performed on a corpus of papers written by Slovene students of Polish Philology at the University of Ljubljana. The results show that students make numerous errors caused by negative language transfer. The conclusion is that the analysis of these mistakes may help predict and eliminate some of them.

The article deals with the problem of lexical and semantic collocations – systematic, normative, and idiomatic. The focus is on the analysis of collocations which are problematic for Ukrainians studying Polish, and the most frequent types of mistakes made by Ukrainian students are analyzed. Text exercises using lexical and semantic collocations including prefixal verbs are proposed for advanced Ukrainian-speaking learners.

W artykule przedstawiono problemy związane z leksykalno-semantyczną łączliwością wyrazów: systemową, normatywną, idiomatyczną. Skupiono się na analizie zagadnień łączliwości, przysparzających szczególnych kłopotów Ukraińcom uczącym się języka polskiego, omówiono najczęstsze rodzaje błędów popełnianych przez nich w tym zakresie. Zaproponowano ćwiczenia tekstowe dla zaawansowanego odbiorcy ukraińskojęzycznego obrazujące łączliwość leksykalno-semantyczną czasowników przedrostkowych.
