O łączeniu roli nauczyciela z rolą rodzica

Rola współczesnego nauczyciela określana jest jako niejasna, wewnętrznie niespójna, psychologicznie trudna i niezgodna z jego innymi ważnymi rolami. Kwestia nakładania się ról zawodowych i osobistych urasta w tym zawodzie do rangi istotnego problemu z uwagi na to, że większość polskich nauczycieli to kobiety. Muszą one poświęcić znaczną część sił i czasu na prowadzenie domu i opiekę nad dziećmi, nierzadko kosztem aktywności zawodowej. Z drugiej strony, praca nauczyciela wymaga wykonywania pewnych obowiązków w domu, co ogranicza czas, który mógłby być przeznaczony dla rodziny. Celem podjętych badań było poznanie opinii nauczycieli o sposobie łączenia roli zawodowej z rodzicielską, o wzajemnych powiązaniach i trudnościach wynikających z pełnienia tych ról oraz konsekwencjach, jakie ponoszą sami nauczyciele, ich dzieci oraz uczniowie. Na podstawie uzyskanych wyników stwierdzono, iż łączenie roli rodzica z wykonywaniem zawodu nauczyciela nie napotyka na szczególne utrudnienia. Trudności wynikają natomiast z niedostatecznej wiedzy i umiejętności wychowawczych, którymi dysponują nauczyciele, co można uznać za ważny problem pedagogiczny i społeczny.

The role of modern teacher is defined as a vague, internally erratic, psychologically difficult and incompatible with their other important roles. The issue of overlapping of the professional and the personal roles grows to the rank of a significant problem in teaching profession, because the majority of Polish teachers are women. They need to devote a substantial part of energy and time for running the house and taking care of children, often at the cost of professional activity. On the other hand, the teaching profession requires performing certain duties at home, which reduce the time that could be dedicated to the family. The aim of the study was to investigate the opinions of teachers on how to merge the professional and the parental role, the mutual relationships and the difficulties arising from the performance of these roles and the consequences borne by the teachers themselves, their children and students. On the basis of obtained results, it can be concluded that combining the parental role with the profession of the teacher did not present any particular difficulties. However, difficulties arise from insufficient knowledge and low educational skills available to teachers, which is a serious pedagogical and social problem.

In this article, I will express my opinion on selected issues related to the teacher – student relationship that have been discussed in the texts of past and contemporary pedeutologists. On this background, I will show the results of the survey conducted among 90 students of pedagogical programmes of two Bydgoszcz universities, recalling their former teachers and presenting a vision of their own work in this profession. Conclusions drawn from the studies indicate the key significance of proper relationships between teacher and student in the process of teaching and educating.

W niniejszym artykule ustosunkuję się do wybranych zagadnień związanych z relacją: nauczyciel – uczeń, poruszanych w tekstach dawnych i współczesnych pedeutologów. Na tym tle ukażę wyniki sondażu przeprowadzonego wśród 90 studentów kierunków pedagogicznych dwóch bydgoskich uczelni, wspominających swoich byłych nauczycieli i przedstawiających wizję własnej pracy w tym zawodzie. Wnioski wysnute z badań wskazują na priorytetowe znaczenie właściwych relacji miedzy nauczycielem a uczniem w procesie nauczania i wychowania.

Opracowanie porusza zagadnienie kompetencji nauczyciela nauczania początkowego. Podkreśla specyfikę i znaczenie tego etapu w edukacji dziecka. W opracowaniu podjęto w ujęciu teoretycznym i praktycznym problem kompetencji wychowawczych nauczycieli wczesnej edukacji oraz ukazano ich istotę w pracy z dzieckiem w młodszym wieku szkolnym. W kontekście innych kompetencji oczekiwanych od współczesnego nauczyciela zaprezentowano wyniki badań nad postrzeganiem przez studentów poziomu przygotowania nauczycieli do realizacji funkcji wychowawczych w klasach początkowych szkoły podstawowej.

The following study discusses the issue of primary education teachers’ competence. It emphasizes the specificity and significance of this stage in the child’s education. Furthermore, the study also addresses the theoretical and practical problem of educational competences of early education teachers, and shows their essence in working with children at early school age. The author of the study presents the results of the research on the students’ perception of the level of teachers’ preparation for the performance of their educational functions in primary school classes, discussing it in the context of other competences a contemporary teacher is expected to have.

The article is devoted to the topic of parenting education in large families. The first part of the article presents the current knowledge on the acquisition of parental competences, their sources, as well as the impact of these competences on the functioning of the family and the issues of parenting pedagogy. The second part of the text contains a description of the methodology of my own research, conducted for the purpose of writing a master’s thesis, the subject of which was how parents in large families learn to educate and acquire competences. In the next part of the article, the results of this study are presented and discussed with the observations of other researchers.

Artykuł jest poświęcony tematowi uczenia się wychowania przez rodziców w rodzinach wielodzietnych. W pierwszej części zaprezentowano dotychczasową wiedzę z zakresu pozyskiwania kompetencji wychowawczych rodziców, ich źródeł, a także wpływu tych kompetencji na funkcjonowanie rodziny oraz zagadnienia pedagogizacji rodziców. Druga część tekstu zawiera opis metodologii badania własnego, przeprowadzonego na potrzeby tworzenia pracy magisterskiej, którego tematem było to, jak rodzice w rodzinach wielodzietnych uczą się wychowania i nabywają kompetencje. W kolejnej części artykułu wyniki tego badania zostały omówione oraz poddane dyskusji z obserwacjami innych badaczy.

The study deals with the general concept of paternity. It analyses the functioning of men as primary parents from the legal, philosophical, psychological, and social perspective. The paper presents the personal and educational competences of fathers who have been authorised by court decisions to act as the primary parent. Given the diversity of legal, psychological and social circumstances of fathers who seek to act as direct carers for their children, the competences to play the role of a primary parent are analysed based on a case study. Based on an analysis of case studies, it has been demonstrated that not every case of direct care results in alienation of the other parent and, consequently, disruption of the bond with the child. The study emphasizes that parental alienation does not stem from faulty decision-making or enforcement of the guardianship law, but rather from incorrect parental attitudes, lack of good will, emotional and social immaturity, and insufficient parenting competences.

W opracowaniu nawiązano do szerokiego rozumienia ojcostwa. W analizie funkcjonowania mężczyzn w roli rodzica pierwszoplanowego uwzględniono kontekst prawny, filozoficzny, psychologiczny i społeczny. Przedstawiono kompetencje osobowe i wychowawcze ojców uzyskujących orzeczenia sądowe o pełnieniu funkcji rodzica pierwszoplanowego. Analizy kompetencji do pełnienia roli rodzica pierwszoplanowego dokonano na podstawie studium przypadku, z racji zróżnicowania sytuacji prawnej, psychologicznej i społecznej ojców starających się o bezpośrednią opiekę nad swoimi dziećmi. Wykazano, że nie każdy przypadek opieki bezpośredniej wywołuje alienację drugiego rodzica a w konsekwencji zaburzenie więzi z dzieckiem. W opracowaniu podkreślono, że alienacja rodzicielska nie jest rezultatem wadliwego stanowienia i egzekucji prawa opiekuńczego, ale efektem nieprawidłowych postaw rodziców, braku dobrej woli, braku dojrzałości emocjonalno-społecznej i kompetencji do rodzicielstwa.

This article presents the problem of educational competence of parents, in the context of their knowledge about education. Educational skills of parents in the areas of preferred ways of education, adopted methods of education and ways of resolving conflicts with their children were also analyzed. The presented material is based on research conducted in 2013 year among 1109 parents of children aged 0-19. Random sampling was used, which included subjects from all levels of the educational system: nurseries, kindergartens, primary, lower secondary and upper secondary schools in Bialystok. The test method was diagnostic sounding, and research tool a questionnaire. The results showed that more than half of the parents have adequate knowledge about education as well as high educational skills.

Prezentowany artykuł przedstawia zagadnienie kompetencji wychowawczych rodziców w kontekście posiadanej przez nich wiedzy na temat wychowania. Analizie poddano także umiejętności wychowawcze rodziców dotyczące preferowanych sposobów wychowania, stosowanych przez nich metod wychowania oraz sposobów rozwiązywania konfliktów z dziećmi. Zaprezentowany materiał jest oparty na badaniach przeprowadzonych w 2013 roku wśród 1109 rodziców dzieci w wieku 0-19 lat. Zastosowano losowy dobór próby, który uwzględniał probantów spośród wszystkich szczebli systemu oświatowego: żłobków, przedszkoli, szkół podstawowych, gimnazjalnych i ponadgimnazjalnych w Białymstoku. Jako metodę badania wykorzystano sondaż diagnostyczny, natomiast narzędzie badawcze stanowił kwestionariusz ankiety. Wyniki badań pokazały, że ponad połowa badanych rodziców ma adekwatną świadomość na temat wychowania, a także posiada wysokie umiejętności wychowawcze.
