Aksjologiczny charakter relacji państwo – społeczeństwo obywatelskie – religia. Perspektywa konserwatywnych liberałów

Celem artykułu jest ukazanie wzajemnych relacji między państwem liberalno-demokratycznym i społeczeństwem obywatelskim a religią. Punktem odniesienia są poglądy wybranych przedstawicieli liberalizmu konserwatywnego (m.in. M. Novaka, R.J. Neuhausa, G. Weigela, E.W. Böckenfördego, T. Halíka). Analizy składają się z dwóch zasadniczych części. W pierwszej zostaną podjęte zagadnienia związane ze światopoglądową i aksjologiczną neutralnością państwa liberalno-demokratycznego (relacja religia – świeckość, „nagie forum publiczne”, etos formalny, chrześcijaństwo jako źródło demokracji i moralnej kultury państwa). W drugiej natomiast – zagadnienia związane z obecnością religii w ramach społeczeństwa obywatelskiego i jej udziału w debacie toczącej się w sferze publicznej (zwrot postsekularny, religia w sferze publicznej, język religijny a świecki).

The aim of the article is to show the mutual relations between the liberaldemocratic state, civil society and religion. The point of reference are the views of selected representatives of conservative liberalism (including M. Novak, R.J. Neuhaus, G. Weigel, E.W. Böckenförde, T. Halík). The analyses consist of two main parts. The first one will address issues related to the worldview and axiological neutrality of a liberal-democratic state (religion-secularism relationship, “naked public forum”, formal ethos, Christianity as a source of democracy and the moral culture of the state). In the second one issues related to the presence of religion within civil society and its participation in the debate taking place in the public sphere (post-secular turn, religion in the public sphere, religious and secular language) will be taken into consideration.
