Owing to the ever-growing role of logistics in the accomplishment of economic, social, and environmental objectives, the author has attempted to define the logistics sector and point to the necessity to separate it as a distinct sector of national economy and a subject of economic statistics. In the empirical part of the article, the author has focused on an approach toward macrologistics of public administration within the European Union and the place of macrologistics in EU policy.

Zasadniczym celem artykułu jest ukazanie próby kierunkowania makrologistyki w krajach Unii Europejskiej. W niniejszej publikacji skoncentrowano uwagę na podejściu unijnej administracji publicznej do makrologistyki i umiejscowieniu jej w polityce gospodarczej Unii Europejskiej.

Makrologistyka jako czynnik rozwoju gospodarki światowej w warunkach kryzysu ekonomicznego

This article proposes that macrologistics is an important factor affecting the rate and dynamics of economic growth, as well as improvement of competitiveness of national economies, and therefore can also be considered as a factor facilitating recovery from economic crisis. To confirm this hypothesis, the article points to the interdependence between economy and logistics and research results of the World Bank concerning logistic effectiveness. The results clearly show that countries that are logistically more efficient have higher levels of economic growth, they become more competitive and increase the level of investment more quickly. In this study the author also attempts to locate, show and clarify the role of macrologistics as a factor supporting economic growth through the prism of selected economic theories and concepts.

W artykule postawiono tezę, że makrologistyka stanowi istotny czynnik wpływający na tempo i dynamikę wzrostu gospodarczego, na poprawę konkurencyjności gospodarek narodowych, a więc może być także traktowana jako czynnik ułatwiający wychodzenie z kryzysów ekonomicznych. Dla potwierdzenia tezy wskazano na: zależności występujące pomiędzy gospodarką a logistyką oraz wyniki badań Banku Światowego dotyczące wydajności logistycznej, które jednoznacznie wskazują, że kraje bardziej wydajne logistycznie mają wyższy poziom wzrostu gospodarczego, stają się bardziej konkurencyjne i w szybszym tempie zwiększają poziom inwestycji. W opracowaniu podjęto także próbę umiejscowienia/uplasowania, ukazania i wyjaśnienia roli makrologistyki jako czynnika wspomagającego wzrost gospodarczy przez pryzmat wybranych teorii i koncepcji ekonomicznych.
