Tematem niniejszego artykułu są preferencje w zakresie wyboru obrazów ze sztuki współczesnej kandydatów na nauczycieli wczesnej edukacji. W perspektywie pedagogicznej istotne jest tutaj zwrócenie uwagi na świadomość kulturową kandydatów na nauczycieli oraz ich preferencje obrazów ze sztuki współczesnej, które są ważne pod względem edukacyjnym i wychowawczym dla przyszłego pokolenia. To kandydaci na nauczycieli będą w przyszłości wprowadzać dzieci w świat kultury i sztuki. Badanie realizowane w podejściu ilościowym, zrealizowane na grupie dorosłych, ma na celu pokazanie preferencji w doborze wybranych dla celów badawczych obrazów ze sztuki współczesnej. Losowo wybrani badani otrzymali do oceny preferencji, po jednym z obrazów: Jacka Yerki, Tomasza Sętowskiego, Rafała Olbińskiego i Zdzisława Beksińskiego. To, jakie obrazy ze sztuki współczesnej będą bliższe kandydatom na nauczycielom wczesnej edukacji, jest znaczące, gdyż to właśnie w przyszłości ta grupa będzie narzucać określone preferencje estetyczne swoim uczniom.

The subject of this article are preferences regarding the selection of images from contemporary art of future early education teachers and the problem of self-exclusion from high culture. From the pedagogical perspective, it is important to draw adults' attention to images that are important in terms of education and upbringing. Quantitative research, carried out with a group of adults, aims to show preferences in the selection of contemporary art images selected for research purposes. Randomly selected respondents received one of the paintings for evaluation of preferences: by Jacek Yerka, Tomasz Sętowski, Rafał Olbiński and Zdzisław Beksiński. Which images of contemporary art will be closer to future early education teachers is significant, because in the future that group will impose specific aesthetic preferences on its students.

Maria Montessori’s pedagogy is considered a “classics” of Education Sciences. In this contribution, a survey conducted with three different groups of subjects attending University lectures or in-service Montessori training courses is reported. Main research purpose is to discover background knowledge and perceived meanings of each group concerning the Montessori Method and its main characteristics. Data collected from the three groups under investigation are compared to identify the most macroscopic differences and / or similarities. Through the graphs produced, first reflections and conclusions are attempted, at the same time readers are invited to build their own opinions inferring other meanings or conclusions thanks to data and reading tools provided.

Pedagogika Marii Montessori jest postrzegana jako „klasyka” w naukach edukacyjnych. W pracy zaprezentowano wyniki badań ankietowych przeprowadzonych na trzech grupach badawczych: studentach oraz dwóch grupach nauczycieli będących uczestnikami szkolenia Montessori. Głównym celem badania było rozpoznanie stanu wiedzy środowiskowej i ustalenie, co poszczególne grupy rozumieją przez metodę Montessori. Zebrane dane przeanalizowano, aby określić najważniejsze różnice i podobieństwa w wynikach uzyskanych w tych grupach. Graficzne zaprezentowanie wyników badań pozwoliło na sformułowanie wniosków, czytający może także na ich podstawie samodzielnie zbudować własną opinię na ten temat.
