Zjawisko odrzucenia przez grupę rówieśniczą stanowi poważne wyzwanie dla współczesnego społeczeństwa. Zarówno rozmiary zjawiska (ok. 10,6 proc. uczniów w szkołach podstawowych), jak również negatywne konsekwencje, skłaniają do głębszego poznania mechanizmów odrzucenia rówieśniczego. Powyższe przesłanki stanowią argument do poszukiwania adekwatnych metod profilaktyczno-wychowawczych adresowanych do dzieci odrzucanych. Szczególnie obiecujące wydaje się zróżnicowanie tych metod, w zależności od zachowań prezentowanych przez dziecko, a które to wchodzą w koincydencję z odrzuceniem rówieśniczym.

The phenomenon of peer rejection is a major challenge for modern society. Both the scale of the problem (about 10.6 percent pupils in primary schools experience rejection), as well as negative consequences tend to learn more about mechanisms of peer rejection. The above conditions are an argument to seek adequate preventive and educational methods aimed at rejected children. The diversity of methods seems to be especially promising, depending on the behavior presented by the child, which is included in correlation with peer rejection.
