Celem artykułu jest ukazanie, w jakim stopniu Polacy dostrzegają zagrożenia migracyjne, jak sytuują je na tle innych zagrożeń, jak zapatrują się na kryzys migracyjny oraz na przyjmowanie imigrantów i uchodźców, w jakim stopniu zmieniało się poczucie zagrożenia w ostatnich latach, a także, jakie cechy społeczne i demograficzne istotnie rzutowały na percepcję w tym zakresie. Autor dokonał przeglądu raportów i komunikatów z badań sondażowych CBOS z ostatnich lat oraz innych wybranych podmiotów badawczych, w tym również ukazujących różnice między Polakami i przedstawicielami innych narodów europejskich w zakresie postrzegania zjawisk migracyjnych. W trakcie analizy autor zwracał też uwagę na niektóre metodologiczne aspekty badań.

The aim of the article is to show the extent of migration threats among Polish people, to describe how they see these threats against other threats, how they view the migration crisis and the admission of immigrants and refugees. The article also refers to how the sense of threat has changed in recent years and which socio-demographic features signifcantly affected perception of these problems. The author of the article reviewed the CBOS surveys reports and the reports of other selected research centers from recent years, including the differences between Poles and other European nations in perception of migration phenomenon. During the analysis, attention was paid also to some methodological aspects of research.

Migration is a mass phenomenon with a global reach as well as a global impact. Threats determined by migratory movements are also supranational. Bearing in mind the threats that migration flows may cause, European Union countries operate by means of devel-oped principles to increase the level of security in the Community. An important process in the field of counteracting migration threats is the identification of risks determined by the mobility process.

Migracja to zjawisko masowe o globalnym zasięgu, jak i o globalnym wpływie. Zagrożenia determinowane przez ruchy migracyjne również mają charakter ponadnarodowy. Mając na uwadze zagrożenia, które może spowodować napływy migrantów, państwa Unii Europejskiej działają za pomocą opracowanych zasad w celu zwiększenia poziomu bezpieczeństwa na terenie Wspólnoty. Istotnym procesem w zakresie przeciwdziałania zagrożeniom migracyjnym jest zidentyfikowanie ryzyk determinowanych przez proces mobilności.
