Wobec tego istotną kwestią jest ocena jakości serwisów internetowych oraz wybór kryteriów tej oceny. W pracy zaproponowano metodę selekcji istotnych kryteriów oceny jakości serwisów internetowych, opartą na indywidualnym wskaźniku pojemności informacyjnej Hellwiga.

Website quality is highly significant to the users' perception of an organisation. Therefore, the important issue is to assess the websites quality and selection of criteria for this assessment. The paper proposes a method for selection of important criteria assessing the websites quality, based on the individual indicator of the information capacity of Hellwig and Symmetrical Uncertainty.

The main goal of the article is an attempt to define factors describing quality of information in the Internet services and rating their level of significance based on user’s preferences research. The result of the carried out analysis is a set of quality factors, which can be used in future research in website quality evaluation.

Zasadniczym celem niniejszego artykułu jest próba określenia czynników opisujących jakość informacji prezentowanej w serwisach internetowych oraz ocena ich istotności w oparciu o badanie preferencji użytkowników. Efektem przeprowadzonych analiz jest stworzenie gradacji cech, która umożliwi ocenę jakości informacji zamieszczanej na portalach internetowych.
