The main assumption of the research project was to examine the influence of the teacher’s thinking style on his work at school. In particular, it seemed interesting to investigate how the style of thinking possessed by the teacher determines his perception of the ideal teacher or the traits of successful students. In addition, the study revised the assumption regarding the impact of the thinking style on expectations towards students, and the choice of preferred ways to pursue didactic classes. The results of the conducted research indicate the style of thinking as a factor significantly affecting the perception of teachers and acting in accordance with it. Generally, teachers evaluate students according to their own thinking style and they also prefer their pupils, who are similar to them. Teachers with different styles of thinking have different requirements for students and prefer different methods of work. Subject specialization is in line with teacher’s style of thinking.

Głównym założeniem projektu badawczego było zbadanie wpływu stylu myślenia nauczyciela na jego pracę w szkole. W szczególności interesujące wydało się zbadanie w jaki sposób posiadany przez nauczyciela styl myślenia warunkuje postrzeganie przez niego wzorca idealnego nauczyciela, czy cech uczniów odnoszących sukcesy. Ponadto w badaniu tym zweryfikowano założenie dotyczące wpływu stylu myślenia na oczekiwania wobec uczniów, oraz wyboru preferowanych sposobów realizowania zajęć dydaktycznych. Wyniki przeprowadzonych badań wskazują na styl myślenia jako czynnik istotnie wpływający na postrzeganie nauczycieli i działanie zgodne z nim. Generalnie nauczyciele oceniają uczniów zgodnie z posiadanym przez siebie stylem myślenia i taki też preferują u swoich podopiecznych. Nauczyciele o różnych stylach myślenia mają różne wymagania względem uczniów i preferują różne metody pracy. Specjalizacja przedmiotowa jest zgodna z posiadanym stylem myślenia.
