The article focuses on the analysis of the origins and development of Turkish and Russian lexis from the socio-linguistic perspective. The fate of book-written borrowings that entered the Turkish and Russian languages from the languages with a long literary tradition is explored. First, the article analyses borrowings that entered Turkic languages, including Turkish, from Arabian and Persian languages. Second, Turkic borrowings in Russian and other Slavonic languages are explored. Third, the article focuses on the influence of the Russian language on Turkic languages spoken in the former Soviet Union, which were largely affected by Russian lexis. Finally, English borrowings in the modern Turkish language are explored.

Niniejszy artykuł porusza kwestię pochodzenia i rozwoju leksyki języka rosyjskiego i tureckiego z uwzględnieniem aspektu socjolingwistycznego. Uwaga autorów skupia się głównie wokół losu zapożyczeń o charakterze książkowo-piśmienniczym przenikających do języka rosyjskiego i tureckiego z języków o dawnej tradycji literackie. Po pierwsze są to zapożyczenia z języka arabskiego i perskiego do języków turkijskich, w tym także do tureckiego. Po drugie – omówione zostały turcyzmy w języku rosyjskim i innych językach słowiańskich. Po trzecie – zbadano wpływ języka rosyjskiego na języki grupy tureckiej byłego Związku Radzieckiego. Czwarty kierunek badań związany jest z analizą anglicyzmów we współczesnym języku tureckim.
