The purpose of the article The aim of the article is to present the reasons for the emergence of personal and financial planning in the 1960s in the US, and then its quantitative and qualitative evolution around the world, taking into account institutional aspects. Methodology Review of the literature on the subject, legal acts and statistics of the financial advisory movement. Results of the research The study found that personal financial planning emerged from a grassroots initiative as a response to the needs of consumers and progressive representatives of the financial sector. Its territorial expansion beyond its homeland was associated with a growing awareness of the benefits of financial advisory services to households. Before the entire financial planning movement there is enormous growth potential.

The article presents the concept of personal finance and its management, as well as a characterization of a relatively new profession among financial professions in Poland – a personal financial advisor. It also shows the relationship between the management of personal finance at the level of individual households and creating foundations of economic growth in the whole economy and tackling social problems. The hypothesis of this article is a statement that the personal financial planning increases the effectiveness of management of available financial resources of the household, for example byforming the habit of intentional saving,and in the long term increases the household wealth as well as the financial awareness – with regards to credit, investment, pension and insurance of its individual members, which has a positive effect on the economy at the macro level. The involvement of external entity in this process is economically justified to the household deficit of sufficient knowledge, the time to compare offers, the lack of experience in the financial services market.

W artykule zaprezentowano koncepcję finansów osobistych i zarządzania nimi oraz scharakteryzowano relatywnie nowy zawód wśród profesji finansowych w Polsce – doradcę finansowego, a także ukazano związki między zarządzaniem finansami osobistymi na poziomie poszczególnych gospodarstw domowych a kreowaniem podstaw wzrostu gospodarczego w całej gospodarce oraz przeciwdziałanie problemom społecznym. Hipotezą artykułu jest stwierdzenie, że planowanie finansów osobistych zwiększa efektywność gospodarowania dostępnymi środkami finansowymi przez gospodarstwo domowe, m.in. poprzez kształtowanie nawyku oszczędzania celowego, w długim okresie prowadzi do zwiększenia bogactwa gospodarstwa domowego, zwiększa świadomość finansową – kredytową, inwestycyjną, emerytalną i ubezpieczeniową poszczególnych jego członków, co korzystnie wpływa na gospodarkę na poziomie makroekonomicznym. Wobec deficytu dostatecznej wiedzy w gospodarstwach domowych, czasu na porównywanie ofert, braku doświadczenia na rynku usług finansowych, zaangażowanie w ten proces podmiotu zewnętrznego jest ekonomicznie zasadne.

The paper presents the essence of financial technologies in personal financial planning, especially robo-advice. The main aim of the paper is to describe the presumptions for the development of robo-advice. An analysis of robo-advice on personal finance management was made. The analysis was based on a review of the subject literature, and on primary and secondary research. Particular attention was paid to the intensification of activities in the implementation of modern solutions and tools supporting the management of personal finances and the gradual development of robo-advisors. Modern solutions are still struggling with great distrust on the part of their current and potential customers, and the development of modern technologies in liquidity and asset management still requires a human factor.

In the current economic conditions aspects that characterize the structure and dynamics of household consumption expenditure gain special importance. This paper presents results of an empirical study of the structure of income distribution of the population. The data obtained in the study were analyzed using statistical methods and highlights the criteria which determine the direction of spending disposable income of households. The study revealed the ambiguity of the criteria of motivation for household financial decision making and to show the relationship of individual economic decisions within the personal financial planning and polemical aspects of the effectiveness of laissez faire policy and state regulation of the economy. Our result present consideration of the principles and levels of financial planning represented function that allows assessing the impact of factors that determine the magnitude and direction of consumer behavior and spending of disposable income households. It is concluded about non-optimal nature of the consumer behavior of the population, caused by asymmetric information, the elements of role models, stereotypes and other factors.
