The text is a critical discussion of Jacek Migasiński’s book Towards Non-phenomenal Phenomenology (2019) which is a perfect summary of Polish-French cooperation and tries to implement one of its most important functions meaning a fruitful dialogue between researchers from different countries. The reviewed book is a competent commentary on what is happening in French phenomenology, focusing mainly on the analysis of texts by Emmanuel Lévinas and by Maurice Merleau-Ponty. Jacek Migasiński’s book consists of eleven essays on various phenomenological topics: it includes the issues of intersubjectivity, time, affectivity and attempts to build a performative discourse in phenomenology on the example of Lévinas’ philosophy. The title term “non-phenomenal” means unveiling the deepest sources of meaning ruling each of the penetrated areas and overthrowing the dualisms that prevail in classical thinking, but also the transgressive tendency of phenomenology and its tendency to excess. It is a method of testing the boundaries and going beyond them in the procedure of outbidding what can be the source of phenomena that sets the direction in which, according to Migasiński, French phenomenology is going nowadays.

Résumé. Le texte est une revue du livre de Jacek Migasiński Vers une phénoménologie non-phénoménale (2019) qui résume parfaitement la coopération franco-polonaise et tente de mettre en œuvre l’une de ses fonctions la plus importante, notamment un dialogue fructueux entre chercheurs de pays variés. Le livre révisé est un commentaire compétent sur ce qui se passe dans la phénoménologie française, se concentrant principalement sur la discussion des textes d’Emmanuel Lévinas et de Maurice Merleau-Ponty. Le livre de Jacek Migasiński se compose d’onze essais sur divers problèmes phénoménologiques: il entreprend les questions concernant l’intersubjectivité, le temps, l’affectivité et tente de construire un discours performatif en phénoménologie sur l’exemple de la philosophie de Lévinas. Le terme «non-phénoménale» désigne la révélation des sources les plus profondes du sens régissant chacun des champs pénétrés par la phénoménologie et démonstration des dualismes qui prévalent dans la pensée classique, mais aussi la tendance transgressive de la phénoménologie et son penchant pour l’excès. Cette méthode, qui consiste à sonder les frontières et à les dépasser dans la tentative de surenchérir ce qui peut être à l’origine des phénomènes, indique la direction dans laquelle, selon Migasiński, se dirige aujourd'hui la phénoménologie française.

Tekst stanowi krytyczne omówienie książki Jacka Migasińskiego W stronę fenomenologii niezjawiskowej (2019), która jest doskonałym podsumowaniem współpracy polsko-francuskiej i realizuje jedną z najistotniejszych jej funkcji, czyli owocny dialog między badaczami z różnych krajów. Recenzowana książka jest kompetentnym komentarzem do tego, co dzieje się w fenomenologii francuskiej, a jej autor koncentruje się głównie na analizie tekstów Emmanuela Lévinasa i Maurice’a Merleau-Ponty’ego. Na książkę Jacka Migasińskiego składa się jedenaście esejów o rozmaitej fenomenologicznej tematyce: znajdziemy w niej problematykę intersubiektywności, czasu, afektywności i próby budowania dyskursu perfomatywnego w fenomenologii na przykładzie filozofii Lévinasa. Tytułowe określenie „fenomenologia niezjawiskowa” oznacza odsłonięcie najgłębszych źródeł sensu władającego każdym z penetrowanych obszarów i obalenie dualizmów panujących w klasycznym myśleniu, ale także transgresyjność fenomenologii i jej skłonność do nadmiaru. To właśnie ta metoda, polegająca na testowaniu granic i na wykraczaniu poza nie w procedurze przelicytowywania tego, co może być źródłem fenomenów, wyznacza kierunek, w jakim według Migasińskiego zmierza dziś fenomenologia francuska.
