This paper puts forward the problem of singularity – one of the most important issues in contemporary cosmology. Firstly, the history of “singularity” concept and basis of Penrose’s and Hawking’s theorem of singularity are discussed. Secondly, the problem of singularity is presented as a genesis of search of quantum theories of the beginning of the Universe, in which the concept of singularity is not present. One sophisticated concept of Hartle and Hawking is presented, in particular the authors’ methodology is described. The paper shows many possible philosophical problems which are connected with quantum cosmology.

In the article I describe the cosmic context of biological evolution and its concretization in the form of various formulations of anthropic principles (weak, strong, probabilistic, ultimate and participatory) in order to discuss selected philosophical and theological consequences of the anthropic of the Universe. The aim of the article is to answer the question whether the fact of the anthropic nature of the Universe leads to the possibility of justifying theses of an ontological, epistemological and theological nature.

W artykule opiszę kosmiczny kontekst ewolucji biologicznej i jego konkretyzację w postaci różnych sformułowań zasad antropicznych (słabej, mocnej, probabilistycznej, ostatecznej i partycypacyjnej), aby przejść do omówienia wybranych filozoficznych oraz teologicznych konsekwencji antropiczności Wszechświata. Celem artykułu jest odpowiedź na pytanie, czy fakt antropiczności Wszechświata prowadzi do możliwości uzasadnienia tez o ontologicznym, epistemologicznym oraz teologicznym charakterze.

Pytanie o jedność nauki na przykładzie kosmologii antropicznej

Given the ongoing process of the differentiation of sciences, it is worth posing a question about the possibility of them being integrated. This matter will be explored with reference to anthropic cosmology. The first part of the article will be a description of two basic approaches to anthropic cosmology, i.e. the so-called strong and weak anthropic cosmology (inflation cosmology and quantum cosmology); subsequently, it will be shown as an example of a project of integration in evolutionary sciences. The final part of the article will show that anthropic cosmology (in a broader sense than the previously described weak and strong anthropic cosmology) may in fact constitute a paradigmatic example of an evolutionary science with the widest research scope and a consistent research method, common to all evolutionary sciences. In this sense, anthropic cosmology is a research project that unifies all evolutionary sciences.

Wobec postępującego od lat procesu dyferencjacji nauk warto zadać pytanie o ich możliwą integrację. Problem ten przedstawiony zostanie na przykładzie kosmologii antropicznej. W pierwszej części artykułu opisane zostaną dwa podstawowe ujęcia kosmologii antropicznej, to znaczy mocna i słaba kosmologia antropiczna (kosmologia inflacyjna oraz kosmologia kwantowa). Następnie zostanie ona ukazana jako przykład projektu integracji nauk ewolucyjnych. W ostatniej części artykułu podjęta zostanie próba wykazania, że kosmologia antropiczna (w znaczeniu szerszym niż wcześniej opisana słaba i mocna kosmologia antropiczna) może stanowić paradygmatyczny przykład nauki ewolucyjnej o najszerszym zakresie badawczym i spójnej metodzie badawczej, wspólnej dla wszystkich nauk ewolucyjnych. Będzie to zatem opis projektu badawczego, który jednoczy wszystkie nauki ewolucyjne.
