The iGEN generation are primarily present-day students, but also the first years students. They are the oldest representatives of this generation. The first years students of the University of Technology and Humanities in Radom were subjected to the study. The scope of research concerned broadly understood quality of life, self-esteem and relation to the surrounding reality.

Pokolenie iGEN to generacja ściśle związana z mediami, często od nich uzależniona. W badaniach uczestniczyli licealiści z II klas VI LO im. Jana Kochanowskiego w Radomiu. Zakres badań dotyczył stosowania urządzeń mobilnych, jak i szeroko rozumianej jakości życia uczniów i ich stosunku do otaczającej rzeczywistości.

The iGEN generation is a group of young people connected with media often addicted to them. The second class students of Kochanowski High School in Radom were subjected of the study. The scope of research concerned using mobile devices as well as thebroadly understood quality of students life and their relation to the surrounding reality.

W pracy przedstawiono charakterystykę generacji iGEN w oparciu o badania studentów I roku. Są to najstarsi przedstawiciele pokolenia użytkującego od najmłodszych lat smartfony i funkcjonującego w sieci globalnej. W badaniach tych chodziło nie tylko o diagnozę ich posługiwania się urządzeniami IT, ale również o ich jakość życia, stan psychiczny i samoocenę.
