This diploma thesis considers the rhetoric of Janusz Korwin-Mikke. The analysis of the rhetoric of the politician is based on his press publications in “Super Express” tabloid as well as on the politician’s official website. Rhetoric seems to be perceived in a negative way – as an ability to persuade or manipulate. From the historic point of view the reality is different. Rhetoric used to be equated with an ability to speak in a beautiful and, most of all, effective way. The issue of rhetoric of politicians still appears to be important these days – especially because they are using the communication channels which are much closer to the potential electorate in the present era of the development of new technology, which makes it more and more difficult, if not impossible, to avoid political electioneering.

Niniejsza praca traktuje o retoryce Janusza Korwin-Mikkego. Celem pracy jest odnalezienie oraz identyfikacja wzorów posługiwania się słowem przez polityka. Analiza retoryki polityka oparta została na jego publikacjach prasowych zamieszczanych w tabloidzie „Super Express” oraz na oficjalnej stronie internetowej polityka. Retoryka obecnie wydaje się być kojarzona negatywnie jako umiejętność perswazji bądź manipulacji. Z perspektywy historycznej sytuacja jest zgoła odmienna. Dawniej retoryka była utożsamiana z umiejętnością dobrej, kwiecistej i – przede wszystkim – skutecznej mowy. Tym niemniej temat retoryki polityków wydaje się być ważny i ciągle aktualny. Szczególnie, że w dobie rozwoju nowych technologii politycy wykorzystują coraz to bliższe potencjalnemu elektoratowi kanały komunikacji. Przez co uniknięcie politycznej agitacji staje się coraz trudniejsze, gdzieniegdzie nawet niemożliwe.
